Do It Your Mood With Wacoal

I have been introduced to wacoal  by my mom back in college. Back then I couldn’t afford one because I was a student and my mom would buy for me. It was costly but it was so comfortable to wear – I swear. When I got older, I realized investing on your intimates is important. Usual bras from wacoal would cost starting P1000 + but it is worth the investment.

November 16 – 18 was the launch of wacoal’s autumn/winter collection at UP Town’s activity center (near coffee bean). Fun filled activities like photobooth and boomerang booths. Attendees were also able to attend talks prepared by influencers such as Content creator/Entrepreneur, Rhea Bue (11 am) shared her travel hacks, Fashion/Lifestyle/Travel blogger, Char Deocareza talks about “Your go-to outfit” she shares that writes down and plan her outfits prior to her travels (1 pm) and Beauty/Travel B/Vlogger, Rei germar  teaches how to match outfits with your mood (3pm).

if you guys have the time to check out Wacoal’s mood store and you’re by Katipunan area visit their boutique at UP Town Katipunan (3rd floor near coco tea and across underarmour). Thinking of what bra to get I would suggest the Travel Bra, Bandeau bra and sports bras. Actually all bras are very comfortable it’s just whatever matches your preference.

For the wanderlust, the travel bra is so easy to pack just spread-roll and fold. It is not spacious to pack and gets back to its perfect form. The bandeau bra can be strapless and the wire part that supports the breast underneath is very comfy, it’s not that annoying thick wire feeling you get. Their sports bra are very versatile in style and it can match any athleisure look. The lace bras looks so nice and they have other basic bras with unique lace details that make it so cute to wear. Lastly, don’t forget to check their other autumn/winter collection.

The First Ramen Nagi Concept Store in the Philippines

The invasion of ramen definitely captured the Pinoys who love anything all Japanese. Ramen Nagi is a personal fave when I ask anyone for their go-to ramen place. Good news for Ramen Nagi fanatics especially from the south. Ramen Nagi just opened their first flaship store in Asia. In the heart of Bonifacio global city at One Bonifacio High Street Park. The mall ain’t completely occupied yet but it’s distinct location includes M. Bakery for those who want to point the mall’s location.

The concept store is located on the 2nd floor of One Bonifacio High Street Mall. This concept store is different compared to the other Ramen Nagi outlets. This is more minimalist, spacious and intricate Japanese interior designs. Don’t expect a lot of red like the ones we are used to see.

The opening of the concept store was on October 29, they flew over their top chefs to present how to prepare the orignal butao, everyone’s classic fave, truffle king ramen, szechuan ramen and other favorites. Only for this specific flagship store is the truffle king ramen  will only be available till December. For those with an adventurous palette, with caution LEVEL 20, Szechuan Ramen will be available in all Ramen Nagi outlets from (Nov 1-15). Seeing it prepared infront of my eyes was mindblowing especially the presentation of the ramen itself.

Come on over to the first Ramen Nagi Flagship store at BGC!

Experience a sleeker, more sophisticated vibe at the world’s first Ramen Nagi concept shop
Opening at One Bonifacio High Street, the new shop offers truffle ramen on a limited run

Ramen Nagi, the Fukuoka-born, Shunjuku-grown ramen shop that has taken Manila’s noodle lovers by storm, has opened its very first concept shop (the only one in the world) at the recently opened One Bonifacio High Street development adjacent to the Philippine Stock Exchange building in Bonifacio Global City.

The new store features décor that are decidedly different from the colorful, festive aesthetic that permeates all other Ramen Nagi’s shops worldwide — born out of sketches personally made by Chef Ikuta Satoshi, the man behind Ramen Nagi. This shop combines Japanese minimalist design with an open-concept design to create an unrestrained, unfussy zen-like feel. Intimate booths and blond wood chairs line stark white walls on one side, while a marble countertop seating offers front-row views of the kitchen activity on another. In the center of the room, white lamps cheekily decorated with images of ramen bowls hang over sleek communal tables.

“We designed the shop to cater to the employees in the Stock Exchange Building,” reveals managing partner Avi Siy-Chua. “We were going for a more upscale look. It’s more sophisticated than the usual festive look of Ramen Nagi.” But Chua is quick to point out that the difference ends there. Everything else, including the savory richness of the brand’s beloved pork tonkotsu broth—remains. “Same menu, same customer service. You still get to enjoy your favorite Ramen Nagi noodles but in a different vibe.”

As a launch offering, the Ramen Nagi at One Bonifacio High Street will be the only shop to offer the Truffle King Ramen, an aromatic treat filled with the flavors of the desirable mushroom delicacy, until December. Come the new year, fans can slurp their way to a truffle-licious bowl in all the other Ramen Nagi branches across the Philippines.

Originally a brainchild of Japanese chef Ikuta Satoshi, Ramen Nagi finds favor among ramen fans for its steaming bowls filled with rich broth, springy noodles and quality ingredients. The award-winning ramen chain offers four variants in its menu, namely Original King (creamy umami tonkotsu broth), Red King (spicy), Black King (with squid ink), and Green King (with basil pesto)—all served with a scrumptious slab of charred pork. Aside from these four regulars, Ramen Nagi also offers two limited-edition flavors every month.

Patrons can also customize their own bowls based on an omotenashi sheet that lists options for the richness of soup, spiciness level, firmness of noodles, heaviness of sauce, amount of garlic, and choice of pork shoulder char shu or belly.

According to Chef Ikuta, there are three steps to eating the ramen: taste the broth, season with a generous amount of spicy sauce, enjoy the noodles and slurp to show the chef your appreciation. And at this new, more upscale outpost, loud slurping is definitely still an option.

During the launch, Chef Ikuta — together with Chef Riyoichi Nishio — showed members of the media how to prepare two limited edition ramens: the Truffle King Ramen and the Szechuan Ramen, which will be available starting Nov 1, 2018. The two chefs also led the tradition of painting one eye of the Daruma, symbolizing the setting of goals for the store. As a custom, the second eye is painted once the goals of the store have been met.

The new Ramen Nagi concept shop is located on the 2nd floor of One Bonifacio High Street, 28th street corner 5th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. Monthly Subscription for your Furry Pals: Qrated Crates x Fetch Naturals

Being a former pet owner myself, grooming needs of pets are a necessity. I wouldn’t say I am an expert but I do have my own share of taking care of pets. Doing the actual grooming is not my department, it has always been my dad. Having a pet is a commitment and you have to maintain them. Not just food & shelter, a lot. It’s like raising your own child.

To my co – animal lovers and pet owners who are readers of my blog, I would like to introduce a lifestyle subscription called Qrated crates. Asia’s first subscription box discovery platform. https://qratedcrates.com/  (Instagram @qratedcrates)

This would come in handy to you especially every month you have to shop for your pets needs. Sometimes I know the hassle to shop at your usual and then no stock apparently since it run out or the delivery dates. We all have our busy schedules to deal with and you just know your pets needs will be delivered by your doorstep every month, nothing to worry.

Once you logged in the website, you have to create your account and register your basic information then from a number of categories you get to shop. The thing with this it’s a monthly commitment that will be delivered to your doorstop. That’s up to you on how long. If you have specifics such as price range, you can sort it accordingly on how you want exactly. You can also apply a vendor too!

FETCH NATURALS X QRATED CRATES

Fetch Naturals has teamed up with Qrated crates, they’ve send me a parcel of pet care but unfortunately I have no pets at the moment since some condominiums restrict domesticated pets. I am fortunate to have friends who have pets who are willing to try the products on their pets.

What I received were Natural pet care neem shampoo with aloe vera and leave on rinse with aloe vera and lavender. The main ingredient, Neem controls ticks, fleas, natural antiseptic, moisturizer and deodorizer. When you subscribe to Qrated crates for your month Fetch Naturals, it comes with an empty bottle plastic sprayer – This is for the leave on specifically. Directions are stated on the label on how to use the shampoo and the leave on. These two variants come together like for adults’ shampoo and conditioner.

I have 2 friends willingly wanted to try the products for their pets, one has a cat and the other one is a dog owner, so we can see the difference from different perspectives. Both of my friends were able to manage using the products and I got positive responses from both of them.

Abbi and her cat, Grey

“I tried it already Krish! Literally I just finished blow drying Grey.  Sa shampoo, ang galing kasi ang bango niya and hindi amoy chemical. Sobrang mabula din niya and ang kapal kasi ng fur ni Grey I thought makakalahati nako sa bottle pero hndi ilang pumps lang mabula na. Pansin ko din mas naging whiter yung white parts sa fur nya which is really a thumbs up! No need to buy whitening shampoo. Yung Leave on smells so nice and fresh sobrang tipid din. Kasi 2.5ml lang + water goes a long way, no need to worry about chemicals din kasi its mostly water and it smells nice na. So happy for giving me this product Krishh now I know a brand to buy”

Kathy and her dog, Zoey

“Super ganda niya! Smooth yung hair ni Zoey and shiny after. Mabango yung products! We noticed hindi nakakalagas ng hair. Zoey really liked it and enjoy her bath time session”.

Fun Set Meals at Soban K-Town Grill

It’s fun to have your gang or fam enjoy a group meal at Soban K-town grill. You can still enjoy ordering ala carte if you easily get full. It’s more fun to munch with a bunch.

Usually for a 3-4 persons in a group, the mega meat set worth P2000 is fit for the budget for a barkada. The quality of the meat and flavors are worth it. Soban k-town’s meat & pork are of high standard quality – thick and fresh. In the set it is not unlimited but it’s just right, come on with the overflowing unlimited sides. How can you not be full! For me it’s a win-win because I easily get full.

The mega set contains: 300 g fresh beef belly, 180 g marinated beef belly, 180 g fresh pork belly, 180 g soy garlic beef belly, 180 g chili bean pork belly, 180 g boneless fried chicken.

The boneless fried chicken for the win! Taste so good! It’s that sweet-savoury taste is mouthwatering. Something I would look forward coming back to. You could also order it ala carte.

Side dishes

Going back to the side dishes, 4 persons get UNLIMITED rice, soup and side dishes The following side dishes, everyone fave kimchi, pamuchim (kimchi salad type with leeks, beans, sprout and with spices), gyeran mari (eggroll), gamja sarada (mashed potato), kang kong doenjang (spicy seasoned water spinach) & meolchi bokkeum (roasted peanuts with sweet& salty anchiovies).

Side dishes

There are more set meals being offered at Soban K-Town Grill to choose from. For the mega set meal let’s say you are 5 in a group. You can still avail the mega set for as long the other one orders an ala carte. Regarding service, it’s so fast and the servers are very attentive. I love how spacious it is from one table to another, not too rowdy. When it comes to the capacity of the tables opt  for a bigger one, if you get lucky.

Have you Tried Paradise Dynasty’s Latest Offerings?!

Everyone goes to Paradise Dynasty for the famous Xiao Long Bao, so far I’ve asked a number of times to people saying that Paradise Dynasty hands down – the best xiao long bao so far and I personally agree so.

For those who haven’t tried eating xiao long bao, you should not miss it. There is a proper way of eating xiao long bao: Pick it up with your chopsticks, place it on the spoon, poke a small hole so that soup and steam comes out, sip the soup and take a bite while savouring the flavors. If you feel more adventurous try the 8 colored xiao long bao, start from the original (in the middle), then with the ginseng (green) going clockwise to szechuan (red). My top favourites would be the foie grois (light brown), the crab roe (orange), black truffle and garlic (grey) . I could finish the entire tray but the Schezuan was my downfall, I think it takes a certain person with a certain palette because it’s flavor and aroma is really distinct from all.

Besides the xiao long bao, they have others to offer like the CRISPY FRIED CRYSTAL PRAWNS WITH SALTED EGG – delish! If you plan on sharing, their noodles are good for 1- 2 persons, I got to personally try the LA MIAN WITH VEGETABLE PORK WANTON IN SIGNATURE PORK BONE SOUP. Another good for sharing (1-2 persons) is the FRIED RICE IN YANG ZHOU or any of their rice specials. To add some vegies on the side, try the Spinach with mixed garlic and to end your meal course, time for dessert! My personal favorite is the 3 pcs. CHARCOAL CUSTARD LAVA BAO – best served hot.

CHARCOAL CUSTARD LAVA BAO
CRISPY FRIED CRYSTAL PRAWNS WITH SALTED EGG

Recently they added  new dishes to the menu, FRIED DUCK – perfectly marinated duck with white peppercorns and Sichuan pepper carefully fried to ensure crispy texture. It can be traditionally serve in a bun as you may please.

For large groups to share, GROUPER WITH PINE NUTS AND FRUITS, meticulously fried to be golden in color then topped with a special sauce grille in pine nuts and the GRILLED GROUPER WITH TOFU IN MAPO TOFU STYLE, grilled grouper smothered in tender tofu cooked in aromatic and spicy sauce.

This is my personal favorite since it has a sweet taste, SHANGHAI STYLE BRAISED PORK BELLY and it is cooked to perfection and oddly satisfying to cut. A very famous dish in china where the pork belly is accurately glazed with various special sauces to achieve the right flavor.

Paradise Dynasty branches are located at The Podium (Ortigas), Conrad S’ Maison (Pasig) and the latest branch at SM Aura Premiere.
