Cycle and Rehydrate with G-Active Electrolyte Water Drink

GATORADE launches its water based electrolyte drink in LIME LEMON (personal fave), ORANGE AND BERRY! and introducing their #GACTIVEFITCREW spearheaded by fitspirations like Isabelle Daza, with his unbeliveable weight loss, Raymond Gutierrez and the dance trooper,  Yassi Pressman.

Followed by The G-Active Fit Crew Nikki Torres founder of NT Sweat, TV and Movie Actress Aubrey Miles, Philippines’ Next Top Model host Maggie Wilson, Flyweight PH boxing instructor Vince Velasco, Arnold’s Army founder Arnold Aninion, G-Active Brand ambassadors Belle Daza and Raymond Gutierrez, Ida Paras of Ride Revolution, and DJ Patty Tiu, Hosted by Joyce Pring

Daza, is also co-owner and instructor at the spinning class studio Ride Revolution, is definitely not new to the fitness scene. For this bubbly beauty, fitness is a passion she pursues with gusto. She shared, “I have personally seen how committing to physical fitness can transform lives for the better and I want more people to experience that amazing feeling. I am very excited to team up with G Active to get more people moving and pursuing a more physically active lifestyle.”

Gutierrez has recently made headlines for his inspiring weight loss and journey towards a healthier body. “This whole process really changed my life and aside from enjoying the physical benefits, what really makes me happy is seeing how my journey has inspired other people,” he said. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to motivate and hopefully, educate, more people though G Active.” and he said “0 sugar!, sign me up”

Meanwhile, Pressman, like most actresses her age, makes sure to commit to regular exercise and healthy food choices to stay in top shape. The Filipina-British actress’ first love—dancing—also helps keep her fit despite her hectic schedule. “There’s no shortcut to a healthy body. You really have to eat right and exercise,” she said. “What I really like about G Active is that it fits right into my active lifestyle. I’m definitely proud to be part of this amazing team.”

Admit it, we all follow them on Instagram, they all belong to an IT CREW, check their IG stories and wished we had the same determination and discipline. Something that should definitely look up to.

The event gave me the opportunity to meet Isabelle Daza, I do check her instagram stories because she is very insightful and informative. My mom really likes her too! plus she’s morena and pinay. Upon checking her Instagram there was one entry she was trying to talk with bunch of girls but apparently they just wanted a picture. I approached her and introduced myself and I kinda blanked after that. She’s so kind, I even asked her a short shoutout on my IG story – Thanks Belle! Doing cycling behind you made me feel like a POTATO and the other fit girls around me. Thank God I do RPM and Cycling in the gym (Hindi magpapahuli si teddy bear haha). I love RPM/CYCLING for years I’ve considered it a good workout not cardio but also upper body strength, core, speed and cardio. You can burn 600-800 calories.

Anyways remembering  the good old nursing days, we would always recommend GATORADE as part of our health teaching for REHYDRATION because it contains electrolytes plus its affordable for patients especially in the public hospital. Back in the day the Colored energy drinks were more available, we mostly encouraged the light colored ones especially for dengue patients because it might be mistaken as blood in the stool( “feces”/”poop”). Generally Gatorade was highly endorsed Nurses.

Now maybe student-nurses/ millenials can endorse the G ACTIVE with no hesitation because it can cater to all since its water base and had electrolytes and still affordable – at 7/11 it cost like P24. And ofcourse best to rehydrate after workout or any intense activities which you generally sweat since our body also sheds off electrolytes to replace the electrolytes loss. The taste is more subtle compared to the energy drinks, If you may ask. IT HAS 0 SUGAR, Per serving 200 ml (1 bottle is 500 ML) 2 kcal, 0 fat, 0 trans and saturated fat, 0 cholesterol, 0 carbs, 86 Sodium (Where water goes, sodium follows), 28 potassium, 12 Niacin (Vit B3) and 0.4 Vit B6.

BEAUTYMNL Beauty Haul x Krishgeek

‘Finally a beauty destination for you” – a package greeting everytime you receive a fresh crisp sealed bag right in front of your doorstep. Before teaming up with BeautyMNL I have personally shopped for a contour kit and it got delivered in less than 3 days  in perfect condition. What I love about BeautyMNL it is a one stop shop of everything beauty related. I love how most of the products are affordable and  budge- friendly! Also the promotion of innovative local beauty products and availability of some international brands as well like INNIS FREE and more! Also how flexible the options on the terms of payment – from Credit card, to bank deposit and cash payment upon delivery. Instructions are easy and the site is manageable.

Lately I barely use makeup because I sweat easily especially during summer and maybe sometimes I admit “katamaran”. Since Alicia Keys started to promote NO MAKE UP and natural beauty I got inspired too, but I admit I don’t have the best bare skin around. In all fainess I managed to still pull off that college student vibe.

So this beauty haul I got is entirely dedicated to skin care

  1. Acne Pimple Master Patch (24 patches)

This product is so effective! You start first by cleansing the zit/pimple then choose a suitable size of patch and let it stay while I did mine while I was sleeping and the next day poof! The patch absorb the pus and oil.

  • I got this on a special promo that came with a FREE voucher from ORIGINS andSKIN GENIE LIP & CHEEK TINT in tulip red. Another thing in BeautyMNL you can find great deals, packages and discounts time to time!
  1. Apple Cider Vinegar Toner and Soap

The rave about the benefits of Apple cider vinegar is beyond amazing ! When I saw SKIN GENIE and all their APPLE CIDER VINEGAR PRODUCTS, no hesitation, instant click and MUST HAVE! We know the tons of benefits of apple cider vinegar when it comes to health (My mom would drink teaspoons in a day because it serves as detox and decreases appetite – we are talking about the legit ACV)

What I like of SKIN GENIE on their apple cider vinegar , It doesn’t smell like APPLE CIDER VINEGAR and it comes in affordable prices.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR TONER  with vodka and witch hazel comes in a spray bottle (100 ml) – after cleasning, spray on a cotton pad and then apply on your face. It contains minerals and potassium that help regenerate the skin helping in PH balance and removes dead cells plus excess oil.

The SOAP on the other hand contains antibacterial properties to help prevent acne and skin infections – Good for all ages. I saw a review about it, that it helps get rid of BACKNE which is my main concern now. Can’t wait to see more of the results in the coming days so far I get less backne nowadays

TIPID TIP: Slice into pieces in order to conserve the soap. In applying damp skin and massagr a light foaming lather for 1-2 mins to get the maximum whitening effect then rinse.

  1. NATURAL BLEACHING MIST (Face & Body)

Another SKIN GENIE innovation ! Natural bleaching mist which helps lightens complexion and claims to clear blemishes. You use it by spritzing over face and body after shower.  Plus it is a good moisturizer and mood booster.I struggle with so  called beauty marks and scars all over  my face and body – can’t wait to see the difference in the coming weeks. It has no bleach in the ingredients but it contains ALKALINE WATER, CALAMANSI EXTRACT,RIND OIL, ACV, Coconut cider vinegar, pink grapefruit extract  (the scent in a very good acid way that smells good), MINT, ALPHA HYDROXY ACID, FULVIC ACID, SODIUM ASCORBATE, SODIUM BICARB & BENZOATE

  1. FLAUNT THY LASHES

I have “umbok” eyelashes, It got trimmed when I was young and it never grew any longer. I get really jealous with people with natural long and thick eyelashes. Apparently FTL contains castor oil which helps hair grow longer and I love how good it smells. Just apply to lashes ad eyebrow twice a day. Leave it overnight/whole day. While applying you get this tingly minty feeling.

  1. OLAY CLEAN MOISTURE WITH COCONUT MILK

Since I got back from HK, whenever I travel my skin always gets dry now I am back time for my skin to recoup and I really love Olay body washes ever since, it makes my skin soft, refreshing, long-lasting and gives me that confidence for the entire day.

Saan aabot ang P1000 mo sa Tutuban Center?

Tutuban Center has the reputation of having the most affordable finds that’s why people continue patronize and bargain what they are looking for.

Years have past, Tutuban Center has developed and modernize despite that Pinoys still continue to patronize the tiangge because it is AFFORDABLE and CHEAP.

Since it’s back to school season plus the abnormal bedweather you can still shop and find great deals at Tutuban Mall with P1000.

With P1000, I have to use my money wisely and within the budget so I decided to shop at the Tiangge for experience and put into the test my tawad skills (I’ll be giving recos). At the commercial area of the mall there are affordable finds to see also and boutiques to shop for but with the P1000 budget I personally feel I would get great deals at the Tiangge and it has been awhile since I did some shopping at the Tiangge – specific area THE PRIME BLOCK where the tiangge is loacted. The ground floor most of clothes, shoes, other fashion items and miscellaneous. The second floor – gowns, plants, toy stores and some boutiques same as ground floor.

First, in my mind and criteria in the list I have to shop for  “OOTD” ofcourse – a place I would recommend is called MURA DITO (far end of the tiangge but can be easily spotted), the name definitely catch my eye. Usually some fashion boutiques may have the basic and some maybe tacky but MURA DITO EXCEEDED my expectations on SERIOUS LEVELS. The clothes and fashion finds are all up to date and all in trend and the items are unlike other fashion boutiques in the tiangge were they have similar pieces. Mura Dito have pieces that are unusual but in trend. They have fashion pieces that they are the only ones who  this specific design trend. – AFFORD PA!

I planned to get a denim jacket (for my recent HK trip) because it is trendy this summer but I was able to try this PINK DENIM jacket that suited me more than the classic acid wash denim color. For P350, I was a ble to bargain for it for P300 – such a good deal. The fabric is fit for the hot Asian weather and the fabric is LIGHT.  I would definitely come back to shop for more!

Next was shopping for SCHOOL SUPPLIES and GREAT DEALS – Definitely I would recommend just at the front of MURA DITO called ORIG NA MURA. Total of P600, I was able to find school supplies and great deals such as P20.00 Falsies set and a Insect spray that is MASSIVE for P110.00

AT Orig na mura, you have to leave your stuff but bring your valuables.  For back-to-school supplies (more of art supplies) I got for myself and my sisters I got like the sets of pens and paints at the cost of P100+ (Won’t go over P200+ like in other commercial bookstores). The paint brushes are like P6-P14 (depending on the size) and a correction tape that cost like P50. Plus I found a set of HAPPY BIRTHDAY letter candles for P50ish since its my birthday month!

Last on the list, I should get an item for rainy season, I needed to have slippers in my bag since work is working distance from home and don’t want to get my footwear puddled in mud. So I was able to find this slipper (crocs style ish with elevation) from a store in the NU-9 area (not for sure of the location but the owner of the spot manages also sells party supplies, super afford! the number balloons(medium size) are about P24 each compared to commercial stores that they sell for P60.

There are a lots of boutiques in the tiangge worth going for and worth your money! For the fashionaistas they have everything from clothes, shoes and accessories you just need a budget and LOADS OF PATIENCE!

Things that 20 Something (-ish) Should Invest On #WisdomWednesday

 #WisdomWednesday

As I turn 24 years old this year, I’ve already mastered the art of PLAN A TO Z (hardly and striving). Seriously I suck at #adulting and I’ve had some realizations that I would really like to share to my readers. Plus, It would also be a constant reminder to myself that I would look back if I’ve barely made good decisions in my life, atleast I’m on track (That’s a first). If you guys are like me figuring things out – Don’t worry you’ll get there! It can be frustrating but that’s the thrill of life. DON’T FORCE IT and DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO.

Since I’ve started working, I realized the value of things and that you can do anything you want (Basta enjoy lang) – especially to me while I’m still single HAHA

Here are my tips (I’m no expert tho but I’ve tried to sort things out that 20 something should not deprived themselves for)

1. Travel & adventure

While young, whatever thing is on your bucketlist – DO IT. Iba kasi ang energy pag young. I mean there is no age limit to enjoy life but taking advantage of our youth is one thing. Be in this Live in the moment and YOLO

GRAB EVERY OPPORTUNITY!

2. Good quality camera / smartphone with HD Camera

Thanks to the Digital age, we can store memories in HD and  always capturing those IG worthy moments.

3. Intimate wear (underwear & bras)

This I learned from my mom, as you get older you realize that it important to have a good set underwear and bra. It makes you feel mature & let’s say polished – plus the comfort. (Knock on wood hopefully it doesn’t happen) Incase of emergency and you get rushed to the Emergency Room atleast you have a good pair under when they have to cut your clothes.

4. Insurance / Policy / Stocks

If only I could bring back time I would have started during college like from a part of my allowance would go to a monthly/semi/quarterly deposit. If I started at 17 and at 25 years old I should have enough money to travel across the world with the money I saved.

It’s still never too late – I just started mine a year ago and with my spending, I’m glad I have something at the side #Security If you have the means to buy properties  WHY NOT – for as long kaya mo maintain (huwag maging magyabang pag hindi kaya)

Always have SAVINGS on the side incase of emergency.

Tip: Do extensive research with what policy / investment plan you want.

5. Further education/vocational courses

There is no limit to education – always learn and be BETTER. Get your masters and learn something you’ve always wanted which is out of your comfort zone!

6. Skin care

I do love makeup! But its not all the time makeup will save you. Mas maganda pag natural yung glow. Invest in products and treatments “hiyang” for you. If you feel going under the knife – nobody is stopping you. (As long legit & safe)

Presenting yourself physically is always first. The inside is the most important but the outside/ physical beauty comes first.

BEAUTY MUST HAVE: sunscreen & moisturizer

7. Health

This is regarding FITNESS, invest in a gym or outdoor activity. Invest in supplements you may need also and EAT anything you want for as long its balance plus you work out 3-4 a week. Plus your every 6 month visit to your dentist too!

Lately, I LOVE CYCLING AND RPM

8. Basic

To look good and put together, the basics should be available in your wardrobe – important fashion staple that doesn’t go out of style.

Keep it SIMPLE, CLASSY & MINIMALIST

9. Good relationships & connections

It doesn’t have to be ROMANTIC all the time, for me its investing in genuine people who has proven their worth to you. Spend time with people who don’t bring you down whether it be family and friends. These are the people you’ll lean towards to when you are down. Be open to meeting new people from all walks of life – but always trust your gut.

IN LIFE, It’s not what you know, it’s WHO you know.

10. CONCERTS / MUSICALS

It’s the most unexplained feeling – whenever I’m in a concert it brings this different joy and adrenaline.

DREAM DATE: CONCERT.

DREAM CONCERT: COACHELLA

11. A GOOD BAG (with HYGIENE KIT)

I’ve sorted out the kinds of bags I have:

a. A minimalist backpack with lots of compartments – Good for school, work and travel plus you’ll be in style.

b. Luggage- especially for travel.

c. Casual Bag – I preferably use a medium size spacey bag with a sling since I always have a lot of things plus pairing the bag with a fashionable statement keychain piece.

d. Chain bag – Instead of bringing a clutch (sometimes I use clutch on various occasions) I prefer a black classy chain bag since I like bringing lots of stuff

e. Gym bag

12. JOURNAL

Proper time management and keep things up-to-date

13. A KILLER LIPPIE

To add some pop of color to your face.

Lastly, THE BEST KIND OF INVESTMENT

14. Invest on yourself.

Take time to LOVE YOURSELF until you feel complete – Do what you need to do that would make you happy.

We create stores that are designed to cater to the specific market of the location.”

Stay Healthy All Summer with Generika

Summer can be draining and at some point our body’s immunity goes down because of the shift of seasons. Living in the city you can be exposed to pollution and others. Plus for me, I do work in a hospital contained environment which makes me exposed to all sorts of viruses and bacteria – it comes with my job that’s why I was advised to take multivitamins and eating the right stuff. Our body cells need certain nutrients in order for us to be healthy and fight all sorts of bacteria. Being healthy starts in the inside and reflects in the outside.

Keep your summer fun by staying healthy. While it’s tempting to just explore the great outdoors or hit the beach this season, it’s absolutely important we take extra precautions while spending time under the sun. By taking to heart these simple reminders, you can protect yourself and your loved ones from the harmful effects of the summer season’s excessive heat.

#1 The sun isn’t always your friend. While the heat starts to rise at about 9am in the morning, the temperature is at its peak between 11am to 3pm every day. It’s best to stay indoors during this time to avoid the sun’s harmful UV rays and overheating. But if you absolutely need to go out, make sure to wear loose breathable clothing and apply at least SPF 15 sunscreen to exposed parts of your body. A hat and sunglasses are a must too, as intense amounts of sunlight are harmful to your eyes.

#2 Keep cool. The easiest way to keep cool all day is to stay hydrated. Cold water and iced (but diluted) fruit juice is best. Any drink with high amounts of sugar, or those with alcohol and caffeine should be avoided. If you’re at home, stay in the coolest part of the house and keep it ventilated. Use shades or light-colored curtains to block the sunlight. And for the really hot moments in the day, don’t hesitate to take a cold bath. Make sure to keep a look out for your loved ones who may be unable to cope with the heat.

#3 Eat healthier. Higher temperatures are dangerous for those with existing heart conditions. And that’s why this season, it’s even more important to keep ourselves healthy by eating the right kind of food. This summer, when you’re craving for a sweet treat – eat fresh fruit instead. When eating out or in a party, pick salads over other offerings. Just make sure you don’t over indulge when putting too much dressing. And above all, add more veggies into your home-cooked meals. All of this will keep you fit, helping you better withstand the summer heat.

#4 Exercise wisely. Now is not the right season to do too much cardio all at once. But if you must, do cooler cardio activities like swimming in cold water. It’s also best to shorten and divide your workout time, and do them only before or after the day’s hottest periods. If you want to take your exercise outside, make sure to pick shady and breezy spots. But for the summer, it is ideal to do your workouts in a properly ventilated and/or air-conditioned indoor gym.

When you take these reminders to heart, you’ll surely have a fun and healthy summer. But just to make sure you get a healthy boost, you can also take a Generika Drugstore Nutraceutical that’s right for you. Nutrawell Collagen with Astaxanthin and Hyaluronic Acid is perfect for those who want to protect and nourish their skin despite the harsh summer sun. Its key component, Astaxanthin, helps safeguard the skin from harmful UV rays.http://www.krishgeek.com/age-well-with-nutrawell/ (My previous review)

For those who want to improve their heart health, they can take Nutrawell Garlic + Hawthorne Berry + Gingko Biloba. This nutraceutical enhances blood circulation throughout the body and increases oxygen utilization in the heart.

Those seeking overall wellness will love the Actimed Multivitamins + Minerals. With its balanced formulation of vitamins and minerals, it can help the body cope even in stressful conditions. As an added boost,

Nutrawell Probiotics can improve your gut health – boosting your immunity and even help prevent common summer ailments such as Diarrhea. For more health tips or to learn more about Generika Drugstore, simply visit http://www.generika.com.ph/.

Love or Luck?: Luck at First Sight

The movie revolves with 2 characters  Joma (played by Jericho Rosales) and Diane (Bela Padilla) both experiencing their own series of ups & downs. Joma has a serious gambling(he has his reasons why) habit and Diane struggling to keep their pharmacy business going while her Dad has problems with his health (Kidney problems).

Till one day, Joma decides to test his faith and rely his luck on the “Eye of the Mountain Tiger” or “Eye of the Tiger” HAHA which paved a way to meet Diane – he believes she is his LUCKY CHARM. They both agreed 50/50 on their wins everytime they hit the jackpot. As the time they spend together and the level of attachment gets stronger – feelings develop towards each other. The catch is you can’t fall in love because luck may shed off. That starts to test them.

There was kilig from beginning to end! The movie had some funny quotes and funny supporting cast played by the tandem of Chollo Baretto and Kim Molina. The movie never had a dull moment and captured brillantly by Dan Villegas (Director) – The movie has also content and maturely executed (straight to the point). Bela and Jericho Rosales brought kilig in the right paces of the movie plus they portrayed the emotions each character needed to showcase. You can catch so many morals from the story, that sometimes its not bad to believe in luck but I personally believe more in faith – If things were meant to be, It will be for you. Just don’t force it.

Watch “LUCK AT FIRST SIGHT” at local cinemas near you brought to you by VIVA FILMS and Directed by Dan Villegas.

Yummy Bodies Ng Century: Gerald Anderson, Paulo Avelino and Mateo Guidicelli

Dear Manila why have you been so hot lately, but not as hot as Gerald, Anderson, Paulo Avelino and Mateo Guidicelli as the latest endorsers of Century Tuna!

These 3 guys are not only eye candies but we should look at them as advocates of a healthy & active lifestyle. (Just look at them). Their workouts seen on their instagram pages plus eating a well balanced diet with Century Tuna. Yes they are ripped girls because they stick religiously to their workouts and diet. Like Paulo Avelino he shared he is into Fish & veggies lately that;s why he is lean.

Mateo is always on the go so having a lean tuna egg salad sandwich is easy to prepare and ofcourse a healthy option of wheat bread. For Gerald he sticks to his Filipino roots – RICE and Tuna Silog because breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Paulo is all about comfort food since it is easy to prepare like his tuna pancit canton, like he said “Straight from the can”. These guys personally whip their own century tuna dish at home and savor it.

These 3 are humbled to be part as the latest campaign of Century Tuna – all of them represent and fit the brand well. Century tuna is easy to open, easy to prepare with any meal and healthy source to supply the energy they need in a day!

I got to ask their workout playlist, I was definitely waiting for Paulo Avelino answer because he definitely has a good taste in music. He answered MARSHMELLO and FLUME. Btw he posted his playlist on his instagram story. Gerald was funny, he said whatever her feels then he blurted out and got my attention Frank Sinatra – I was like FOR REAL? Mateo, same whatever he feels like doing on that day that keeps the drive going.

Meeting the 3, honestly I was so shookt and I couldn’t even eat at the event because of butterfiles in my tummy – because I am fangirling over Paulo Avelino (If you are reading this this right now, I am so thankful and so sorry I was so speechless – usually I chitchat to a celebrities before taking a photo, but since everyone was grabbing here and there! I just got my chat to get a vid and photo -3 same photos HAHA!. Kalma, Krish!  Bucketlist checked! When I got the invite  from Century Tuna, I didn’t really expect anything. Just to see Paulo near is just enough. Thank God!

Gerald and Mateo were so funny and throwing at each others faces. These two are so hardcore with their triathlon training and how disciplined they are. Gerald, if you do read this – you are such a sweet guy (If you guys saw IG stories) and Mateo wished I interacted with you but you were all blockbusters at the event. (You guys have no idea how rowdy it was). Mine I guess was by luck.

A lot of friends who saw my instagram story, messaged me and asked me when they saw me “WHO HAS THE .BETTER BODY?” Just because they stripped in front of me and prepped a century tuna dish topless- that never came into my mind guys SRSLY haha
