HOW DO I LOOK? ASIA ARRIVES ON DIVA TO FIX ASIA’S FASHION FAUX PAS

17 August 2015 – It’s time to go head over
heels for DIVA’s How Do I Look? Asia – the highly anticipated
Asian re-imagination of the hit fashion makeover series. Billed as “Asia’s ultimate fashion fix,” How Do I Look? Asia will make its debut on Monday, 31 August at 8PM
(SIN/MAL) on DIVA, NBCUniversal International Networks’ leading entertainment channel for women in
Asia.

The NBCUniversal International format,
produced by NBCUniversal’s Matchbox Asia, follows Malaysian celebrity
and style icon Sazzy Falak as she guides eight fashion victims to the path of
fashion enlightenment. Jeannie Mai, host of the original U.S. version, and a
familiar face to Asian viewers, features in each episode, setting up the
fashion challenges each week.

The fashion-challenged victims
include onesie-addict/ blogger Apple Allison of
Sole Searching Soul (Philippines); indie
rock guitarist Ariana (Malaysia); mismatch, mishap/ watercolor artist Choc
(Taiwan); sales executive, and literally
plain Jane
(Philippines/Australia); overachieving, yet outdated, Lavinya (Malaysia); rebel
teacher Lianni (Philippines); romantically-insecure Maisarah (Singapore); and
the uninspiringly-dressed motivational speaker Yessinta (Indonesia).

To achieve a professional look that can be
replicated for the everyday, Sazzy will be joined by a guest stylist in each
episode: Liz Uy (Filipina celebrity stylist); Zac Wu (Taiwanese celebrity
stylist); Andrea Wong (former editor of Elle Malaysia); and Anindita Saryuf
(fashion director of Elle Indonesia).

In each episode, Sazzy and an accomplice – a concerned family member, friend or colleague
– will help transform the
lucky fashion victim into a beacon of style.
After having their wardrobe raided, the individual will have their
current fashion choices face the “Eww Tube”, one of the iconic
features of the original format. The “Eww Tube” is a vacuum cleaner-like machine that
literally sucks offending outfits up and away after they have been eliminated
by the panel of fashion experts and accomplices.

The transformations featured on the series
transcend fashion and style. Viewers will also get to witness the complex and
emotional backstories of the victims, whose glamorous new looks, and freshly
developed sense of style, act as a catalyst for them to adopt a more positive
and confident outlook on life.

How Do I Look? Asia
is a testament to DIVA
s position as
the leading women
s
entertainment channel in Asia. We are confident that this ground-breaking local
production, like its original franchise, will strongly resonate with our core
female audiences across the region,
” said Christine Fellowes, Managing Director, Asia
Pacific, NBCUniversal International Networks. “Using the insights from various in-depth research
initiatives on Asian women that NBCUniversal has conducted and developed over
the recent years, How Do I Look? Asia features many of the elements that
we found women loved: fabulous and fun makeovers, the hottest fashion trends
tailored to Asian sensibilities, inspiring and heart-warming personal stories,
and a positive underlying message that encourages every woman to be her best
self.

Lazada advocates effortless online shopping to consumers across Southeast Asia

Lazada advocates effortless online shopping to consumers across Southeast Asia

  • Lazada reveals customer satisfaction survey results

  • Ecommerce leader promotes effortless online shopping with integrated campaign

  • Campaign kicks off with The Effortless Shopping Sale happening on July 21-23 on Desktop and Mobile and on July 24-26 exclusively on Mobile App

PHILIPPINES, July 2015 – Lazada, Southeast Asia’s leading online shopping and selling destination, kicks off its Effortless Shopping campaign (http://www.lazada.com.ph/effortless-shopping/) in the Philippines from 21-26 July highlighting the benefits of effortless online shopping to Filipino consumers.

“We are committed to providing an effortless online shopping experience to approximately 550 million consumers in the Southeast Asian region. While our customer satisfaction survey reveals that respondents are satisfied with their online shopping experience, there is an untapped opportunity to reach out to non-online shoppers by highlighting the benefits of online shopping and thus changing their perceptions,” said Inanc Balci, CEO of Lazada Philippines.

As an eCommerce leader in the Philippines, Lazada provides consumers with an effortless shopping experience with its user-friendly sites and mobile apps accessible at their fingertips anytime, any day. It offers a wide selection of international, local and exclusive products; and multiple secure payment options including cash-on-delivery.

Consumers can shop with peace of mind on Lazada as all items purchased are covered by Lazada’s Buyer Protection Program. This provides a guarantee that products are genuine, new and not defective; and for customers to return the items within seven days for a full refund, otherwise. Consumers can also shop with assurance knowing that they can reach out to Lazada’s customer service seven days a week by phone and email.

What Lazada Philippines Customer Say

As a customer-focused company, Lazada Philippines constantly reviews customer satisfaction levels. In Q1 2015, the company polled 28,429 respondents in the Philippines to learn more about their online shopping experience.

Products: 75% were happy with the range of products offered on Lazada Philippines, while 72% of respondents were satisfied with the quality of products offered

Website: 77% found the Lazada.com.ph website easy to use

Delivery: 73% found communication regarding delivery clear
Customer Care: 73% are pleased with the assistance provided by the Customer Care team

While the survey reveals that majority of respondents are satisfied, a Google Shopper Study published in June 2014 shows that product quality and security are the biggest barriers to online shopping in The Philippines. The study shows that 45% are worried about the security of their financial details in online transactions, while 36% of non-online shoppers are unsure about the warranty process of the items they purchase online.

“There is a clear disconnect between the perceptions of non-online shoppers and what our customers experience, highlighting the need to gain consumers’ trust to dispel the barriers to online shopping. As a market leader, we are taking the first step towards highlighting the benefits of online shopping to all consumers through an integrated Effortless Shopping campaign,” said Inanc Balci, CEO of Lazada Philippines.

The Effortless Shopping Integrated Campaign

Lazada’s Effortless Shopping campaign integrates television (TV) commercials, website and consumer activation touch-points such as a customer newsletter and social media channels.

The campaign leads with two TV commercials highlighting how shopping at Lazada is safe, convenient and reliable and how the Android and IOS mobile applications (app) allow consumers to shop anything, anytime, anywhere.
Accessible via mobile and desktop, the Effortless Shopping campaign (http://www.lazada.com.ph/effortless-shopping/) site highlights Lazada’s key differentiators such as the widest product range, best-in-class mobile app experience, Buyer Protection as well as secure payment options including cash-on-delivery.
Lazada also curated online shopping tips on topics such as secure shopping, smart savings and category specific advice for parents, tech enthusiasts and fashionistas. These tips from Lazada’s own experts are designed to help consumers become savvier and more confident online shoppers.

    The Effortless Shopping Sale

Consumers can experience the benefits of online shopping during The Effortless Shopping Sale on Lazada Philippines from July 21 to 26.

I have a thing for dressing up  my phone, my phone is actually one of the most important gadgets, next to my Powerbank ofcourse. Previously I blogged for CD-R King’s eco bikes and recently they’ve launched personal phonecase printing for specific Iphone and Samsung units.

So CD-R king gave me the opportunity to try their printing services on phonecases. The most accessible branch for me was Glorietta (They have 2 branches within Glorietta, go to the one thats on the upper floor) . Okay , so you have to start choosing your primary cover, whether black or white. For the print whether Regular or 3D, just for the price of P399. I chose, the regular one (no design on the sides). You have to bring a soft copy of the design you want on your phonecase.  Easy breezy, in a few minutes you get your own personalized phone case.

Animax Asia to air Charlotte on the same day as Japan

Philippines, 30 June 2015 — An original anime production by prolific writer Jun Maeda is premiering first and exclusively on Animax – Asia’s first 24-hour Japanese anime channel.

Reunion of the visual novel maestros

Renowned Japanese visual studio Key has come together with Progressive Animation (P.A.) Works for Charlotte, which will air on the same day as its Japan telecast on Animax Asia, in July. Boasting local subtitles including English, Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin and Thai, the anime was written by Key’s co-founder Jun Maeda, who is also contributing to the musical score.  The anime will also feature character designs by fellow Key colleague Na-Ge.  The two had worked with the same producers on popular 2010 anime Angel Beats! and together, the dream team promises to conjure up the same magic in Charlotte.

Charlotte, rumoured to have been based on Maeda’s own early life, is set in an alternate world where a few children come into unusual superpowers upon puberty.  One of the colouful characters is Jōjirō Takajyō, who can move so fast he appears to be teleporting.  There’s also student singer Yusa Nishimori, who can communicate with the dead.  The children are enrolled into Houshinomi Academy, which has its own student council for guiding those who encounter problems with their newfound abilities.

The protagonist?  Yū Otosaka, an ill-mannered first-year transfer who uses his ability to possess another person’s body for five seconds in order to cheat in his exams.  When Yū meets school council president Nao Tomori, the fate of these extraordinary children begins to unravel.  Will the youthful duo be strong enough to fight their destiny?

Charlotte premieres on 4 July 2015, airing every Saturday night at 12.30am with an encore the next day at 8pm, first and exclusively on Animax Asia.

Animax is seen on SKYCable Channel 46, Cignal Digital TV Channel 34 and Dream Channel 07.

In line to their celebration, they announced their upcoming promos and gave a talk and tips on how to live a longer and healthy life. People who attended the event, got a 15 minute body massage at their home theater area – my fave place.

DSC_0733 DSC_0745

We were given a tour of the spa and you’ll definitely feel that calming and relaxing vibe. Per room can accommodate whether for a  group or a couple. And each room has a unique name. Also there are separate  locker rooms for men and women  , lockers and robes were provided . Good news they have also a Sauna room, take some time to have some steam and get some good sweat.

page

The services for  massages come from a range of P650-P1000. I personally got the cellulite melter massage worth P800, yes it does burn cellulite, the oil contains cellulite burning properties but what makes it different it is deep tissue massage – more pressure. Their best seller is the Traditional Filipino (120 minutes) for P1050.

I brought my mom and my ate because we girls deserve R&R and they wanted to have a massage before they fly back to Muscat. They got the Swedish massage which is more on relaxation. They got the Pure serenity package (Swedish Massage plus Foot smoother scrub) P1,080

I enjoyed my foot reflexology (60 minutes) P550  at the home theatre, You’re lucky if you get dibs or shotgun, you get to choose the movie from their selection of films. We definitely enjoyed that day and to release some stress.

Getting to their branch is easy if you are coming from the rotonda of Tomas Morato,  go thru the road heading to ABS-CBN, A little bit after I’ll Terazzo and across TGIF. Address: 238 Sct. Bayoran Tomas Morato Ext. Quezon City
