Love month at Mandala Park Weekend Market

On its 5th leg, Mandala Park has been making a buzz on social media, spread by word of mouth and been highly anticipated every month by foodies. Mandaluyong has bloomed to be the center of lifestyle and wellness in the metro. In celebration to that Mandaluyong tends to promote all greens and healthy living as well and also giving back to the community.

At the heart of Mandaluyong city lies the seat of Litton Legacy, the former site of the company’s textile plant now called Liberty Center. Today Litton is recalibrating its core and is relaunching Liberty Center as a new intergrated mixed use developement called MANDALA PARK. (Mandala is a symbol of balance and focus).

The first time I attended Mandala Park Weekend Market last month, I really had a great time over sumptuous food and rad jazz music with my favorite people in the world (my friends). Every Mandala Park Weekend Market always have different themes. This love month is about love for local.

February 20, Saturday, Mandala Park once again transforms its green, open spaces into a venue for their well curated merchants to showcase locally sourced and crafted produce and provide a platform for holistic wellness in the Middle of Metro Manila hustle and bustle. In collaboration with the Philippine Culinary Heritage to help spread the “love for local” and give the spotlight to merchants who inspire us to love our own Pinoy heritage. Before the event there was a yoga class with Flow Retreats- promoting wellness and holistic state.

Again the line up of stalls this month were a lot in number compared to the last time, there were familiar and new faces. My favorite gingerale by Standford and Shaw Brewing still there, Scout’s Honor’s  craft cookie milkshakes, Le Petite Souffle and Ribs Manila were there. Other familiar merchants – Asiong’s Carinderia, Jonas Manila known for their “pares”, Bayani Brew, Craftpoint brewing company Out of the box bulletproof coffee, an Fog city creamery (ice cream!), Wrapped Shawarma and YAKANG YAKA Bater (handmade and local products) – BLOGPOST link at  http://www.krishgeek.com/?p=1268

This time I’ve tried PuNta dishes, they were also there the last time. I love their burger meal, topped with egg on the meat patty and their flavorful savory and sweet fries to match with the burger for around PHP 200+.

New faces such as Atsui Apparel (minimalist japanese fashion), Explorer Wax Co. (homemade scented candles), Local household names Edgy Veggy and Pok’e Boy. Filipno Comfort food by Homemade Treasure’s Ensaymada. We have international bites from Huat Pot (Taiwanese-style hot pot) and Taco Vengo (Mexican food).

Last time the music was about rad and loud jazz stylings, this time is the cool and up beat acoustic night – very pinoy chill vibe playing to top chart hits. Philippine Popular Music Festival alumna, Keiko Necesario serenaded the crowd with her original compositions and covers.

So I do suggest to still keep posted with MANDALA PARK WEEKEND MARKET happenings and bring your friends and family too! Follow their Instagram page @mandalaparkph and like their FB page on  facebook for updates.
