Oishi Snacktacular 2019

It’s that time of year again for the Oishi Snacktacular, this is my first time actually attending but I’ve always been fascinated to try the Human Claw or known as the “Snack Catcher”. I’ve seen it once in Trinoma few years back but I haven’t tried it because of the long lines that time. This year, it finally happened that I get to try the Snack Catcher and it was so fun! Tip when trying the snack catcher, stretch if you can before getting in and just relax – it’s safe. As you they put you down in a mosh pit of snacks have your arms stretch and bring everything in the middle. For the legs, once in the mosh pit, closed the legs and try to basket the snacks. It’s like in a SHRIMP position. Go as deep as you can before they lift you up. To try the snack catcher would cost P200.

Main event for this year’s Snacktacular is at SM Clark, Pampanga. If I’m not mistaken same venue as last year, correct me if I got that mixed up. It runs from April 5-7, 2019. They have other attractions like the “Snack shack”, this is where you grab any Oishi snack that you want in a minute. You get to choose a snack pack, they have the OG Oishi snacks and a limited editions customize snack pack. I went for the limited edition designs. In less than 1 minute I was able to fill the bag because I focus more on the popcorn and pillows haha. To play snack shack it would cost P295 – it’s worth it because you get to bring home bunch of snacks.

The “Fish for snacks” booth I am not quite familiar or maybe it’s a new attraction for this year? Basically it’s an installation that you get to play using a net, as much as possible you get to fish or snatch as much chips as you can in a minute and you get to do it with 3 friends. The snacks in the mosh pits are the seafood flavored snacks hence the name of the installation. I’ve seen the Kirei, Fishda and prawn crackers etc. P180 person in order to play the game.

Speaking of Oishi snacks, it was also my first time seeing new snacks or I’m not aware about  like PIPE BITES (Churros), Zoodles (noodle snacks) and Crunchy Karl’s corn snack. Is it me or just now I’ve seen Panchos (tortilla chips). Even the Grab Nuts, too. Wished I knew I had healthy options besides popcorn because it’s rich in fiber. I feel there’s more that I haven’t made myself acquainted with. Are there more snacks that I should know, just feel free to comment haha.

They also have a refreshment area called the ” O CHILL” with Oishi drinks ofcourse for just P40 per drink. They have Smart C lemon squeeze + Yakult, Mais con oaties and Hi Coffee latted + coffee jelly. Basically to try everything would cost P715 in total for one person to try all the attractions with 1 drink.

Overall it’s a fun event and get to bring lots snacks home and share it with the fam. If you get the chance, do it!  Can’t wait for next year!

Back at QC, off to next event!
