ATC x Preview Editor’s Closet November 11-15

Shop like a Preview Editor and get the latest pieces this season, Preview magazine in collaboration with Alabang Town Center got you covered, This season trends are DENIM, POLKA DOTS, KNIT, 70s and Folk.

The previous ATC X Preview Editor’s Closet was also located at ATC’s Activity Center and every area there was a designated genre of clothing. For this year, is the same concept except that Preview pinpointed this season trends that we’ve been seeing recently in magazine covers and the runways. Personally, I see lots of Denim and 70s style revived lately. Then especially now its winter we’ll  be seeing lots of knits.

It still has that cozy vibe while shopping, every area is in distinctively designed and Instagram-worthy accordingly. This year I noticed there were more accessories displayed. People might expect high end brands but there are also local brands that made it! Speaking of local brands, a lot them are stepping up their game and matching with the high end brands. These brands are able to follow trends and style that millenials and gen Z would really like. There are affordable pieces, if you patiently look around because different brands are distributed in each genre. You may spot pieces from P500 and above.

I do agree that ATC is the best venue at the South, growing up at ATC I’ve seen a lot of posh and well dressed shoppers. Not like for fashion week glamour  but like well put together that seem classic and chic.

Female millennials can consume tips and lifehacks from videos on beauty to articles on lifestyle and product reviews. “iamClaire. is about joining a community, a sisterhood that stands for positive transformation, about becoming a better you,” explains Liam Mendoza, vice president and chief operating officer, ALTUS Digital Capital.

Randy McGraw, Bea Binene and Liam Mendoza

“We believe that launching iamClaire. in the Philippines represents the perfect opportunity to address the needs of both female millennial consumers and the brands in the beauty, health & wellness, and overall lifestyle sectors.  The shopping experience should be new— more social, more fun, more informed, and much less intrusive than what e-commerce presents them today,” says Randy McGraw, managing director and co-founder, ALTUS Digital Capital.

Most Common Inquiries:

Why should I whiten my teeth?

A bright, white smile gives you more confidence and makes you look healthier.

Having whiter teeth will also lead you to taking good care of your dental hygiene, and good oral health is essential to preventing tooth and gum disease.

How does The Smile Bar whiten teeth?

The Smile Bar uses products and technology from Swedish company, Brilliant Smile.

The secret is the teeth whitening gel, which safely removes discoloration and stains from the enamel. The LED Plasma Light technology activates the whitening gel. This is done for 20 minutes, and repeated depending on the treatment of your choice.

Is teeth whitening safe?

Our products from Brilliant Smile have been thoroughly tested and proven to be 100% safe. The Smile Bar’s teeth whitening process is certified and completely safe for teeth and gums.

Is light technology effective?

The LED Plasma Light technology used in our teeth whitening treatment is very effective, producing better and faster results compared to other teeth whitening methods. All the necessary tests have been conducted to ensure its safety for customers.

How many shades lighter can my teeth get?

Each person has a unique anatomy and everyone’s teeth respond to the whitening treatment differently. The result will depend on the type and degree of discoloration. As part of your treatment, you will undergo an assessment with one of our specialists where you will discuss your current shade and expected results.

The average for customers is 5 shades whiter after one treatment, but we have customers who achieved up to 7 shades whiter.

Is teeth whitening for me?

If you have healthy teeth and gums, we don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t want whiter teeth!

Many things cause tooth discoloration and chances are you are affected by one of them:

  • Consumption of food and beverages with color pigments such as tea, coffee, red wine, and soda
  • Tar and nicotine from smoking stain your teeth over time and cannot be remedied by regular brushing
  • Medication
  • Poor oral hygiene
  • Genetics

Is there anyone who cannot whiten their teeth?

Whitening is not recommended for pregnant women (or breastfeeding mothers) and children under the age of 16.

Can everyone get whiter teeth?

15% of the global population has difficult in getting whiter teeth for various reasons. However, most people get significant results from teeth whitening treatments. There are some people who would not get any results at all, but these are rare cases.

Which teeth shades are easier to whiten?

Yellow teeth are easier to whiten than grey teeth. Moreover, your natural whiteness from your enamel is the determining factor for your teeth whitening results. Genetics play a big role in the results, as you can only go as far as your natural whiteness prior to discoloration.

Will teeth whitening make my crowns, bridges, and veneers whiter?

The Smile Bar’s teeth whitening method works better on your natural teeth, but can also bring your crowns, bridges, and veneers back to their original color.

How long do teeth whitening results last?

Your lifestyle and diet will determine the amount of time it takes for discoloration to take place on your teeth again. You can expect to maintain whiter teeth for up to 6 months after a treatment at The Smile Bar, provided that you practice good dental hygiene.

It is recommended that you come in regularly once a quarter. Using our post-whitening products regularly will help keep your teeth clean as well as maintain your bright smile.

Will teeth whitening cause tooth sensitivity?

Tooth sensitivity issues are side effects associated with teeth whitening. Despite not being a serious condition, it can be very uncomfortable.

Brilliant Smile’s high quality products rarely produce any side effects. The slight tingle you will feel within the first 24 hours after treatment are perfectly natural and will disappear quickly.

How long do I have to wait before drinking, eating, or smoking?

After the treatment, there will be some microscopic spots where the discolorations used to be. These are vulnerable to new discoloration so we strongly recommend drinking only water for those first 6 hours after your treatment.

As part of your aftercare, we have recommendations for the next 72 hours after treatment:

  • Avoid strongly colored drinks such as tea, coffee, red wine, soda
  • Avoid food that cause stains such as chocolate, and those with food coloring
  • Avoid acidic food such as tomatoes, vinegar, soy, citrus, and chili sauce as these cause tooth hypersensitivity
  • Avoid smoking
  • Do a fluoride rinse twice a day to rebuild enamel and fill any microscopic cavities

The Smile Bar also offers the NanoSeal Total+ as an add-on to your treatment. This process reinforces the enamel and seals the whiteness on your teeth. By doing this, you will be able to eat or drink anything immediately after your treatment, without risking new discoloration! No need to worry about 72-hour food, drink, and smoking restrictions.

What is NanoSeal Total+?

The NanoSeal Total+ is a liquid solution applied on your teeth after the whitening procedure.

Using a small brush, this application only requires 1 minute of your time. The product will protect your teeth and enamel instantly. Immediately after the treatment, you are free from any eating, drinking, and smoking restrictions.

What makes teeth whitening treatment in The Smile Bar different from home teeth whitening treatment kits?

The problem with home whitening kits is that they are never a sure thing. Some are cheap, some are expensive. Some claim to be natural, while others come with toxicity warnings. You can never tell where you stand with these at-home trays and LED lights.

While we applaud DIY, we have also learned that it is better to go to a salon than to cut your own bangs. Our specialists at The Smile Bar will help you achieve a confident new smile without getting your hands dirty with chemical solutions.

How do I book an appointment?

You may book your appointment online by visiting www.the-smile-bar.ph.

You may also contact us by phone through these numbers: (0917) 148 5659 or (02) 541 2853

We accept walk-ins should there be any available slots. Our treatment salon can be found at: 2nd Floor, Cluster 2, Uptown Parade, BGC, Taguig City

Saan aabot ang P1000 mo sa Tutuban Center?

Tutuban Center has the reputation of having the most affordable finds that’s why people continue patronize and bargain what they are looking for.

Years have past, Tutuban Center has developed and modernize despite that Pinoys still continue to patronize the tiangge because it is AFFORDABLE and CHEAP.

Since it’s back to school season plus the abnormal bedweather you can still shop and find great deals at Tutuban Mall with P1000.

With P1000, I have to use my money wisely and within the budget so I decided to shop at the Tiangge for experience and put into the test my tawad skills (I’ll be giving recos). At the commercial area of the mall there are affordable finds to see also and boutiques to shop for but with the P1000 budget I personally feel I would get great deals at the Tiangge and it has been awhile since I did some shopping at the Tiangge – specific area THE PRIME BLOCK where the tiangge is loacted. The ground floor most of clothes, shoes, other fashion items and miscellaneous. The second floor – gowns, plants, toy stores and some boutiques same as ground floor.

First, in my mind and criteria in the list I have to shop for  “OOTD” ofcourse – a place I would recommend is called MURA DITO (far end of the tiangge but can be easily spotted), the name definitely catch my eye. Usually some fashion boutiques may have the basic and some maybe tacky but MURA DITO EXCEEDED my expectations on SERIOUS LEVELS. The clothes and fashion finds are all up to date and all in trend and the items are unlike other fashion boutiques in the tiangge were they have similar pieces. Mura Dito have pieces that are unusual but in trend. They have fashion pieces that they are the only ones who  this specific design trend. – AFFORD PA!

I planned to get a denim jacket (for my recent HK trip) because it is trendy this summer but I was able to try this PINK DENIM jacket that suited me more than the classic acid wash denim color. For P350, I was a ble to bargain for it for P300 – such a good deal. The fabric is fit for the hot Asian weather and the fabric is LIGHT.  I would definitely come back to shop for more!

Next was shopping for SCHOOL SUPPLIES and GREAT DEALS – Definitely I would recommend just at the front of MURA DITO called ORIG NA MURA. Total of P600, I was able to find school supplies and great deals such as P20.00 Falsies set and a Insect spray that is MASSIVE for P110.00

AT Orig na mura, you have to leave your stuff but bring your valuables.  For back-to-school supplies (more of art supplies) I got for myself and my sisters I got like the sets of pens and paints at the cost of P100+ (Won’t go over P200+ like in other commercial bookstores). The paint brushes are like P6-P14 (depending on the size) and a correction tape that cost like P50. Plus I found a set of HAPPY BIRTHDAY letter candles for P50ish since its my birthday month!

Last on the list, I should get an item for rainy season, I needed to have slippers in my bag since work is working distance from home and don’t want to get my footwear puddled in mud. So I was able to find this slipper (crocs style ish with elevation) from a store in the NU-9 area (not for sure of the location but the owner of the spot manages also sells party supplies, super afford! the number balloons(medium size) are about P24 each compared to commercial stores that they sell for P60.

There are a lots of boutiques in the tiangge worth going for and worth your money! For the fashionaistas they have everything from clothes, shoes and accessories you just need a budget and LOADS OF PATIENCE!

LGG6, The Social Media Phone

MANILA – Last year, global technology innovator LG Electronics blew away the Mobile World Congress with its G5 smartphone, garnering the most awards among all the other mobile powerhouses. Because of its worldwide success, expectations of tech experts were high in this year’s MWC run, which launched its successor LG G6.

Hale, singing to the classics like “Blue Sky” & “The Day You Said Goodnight”

Today, two months after its global unveiling—where global tech experts Wired, Android Authority, Digital Trends, PCMag and TeachRadar hailed the G6 as the best smartphone of MWC 2017, the multi-award-winning device officially opened its doors to the Philippine market through a massive event at SM Mega Fashion Hall. Consumers, media partners and celebrities gathered together to experience LG’s latest flagship, which projects itself as the ideal social media smartphone for any digitally-savvy user.

Endless display, compact body

JP Haboc, Director of “I’m Drunk, I Love You”

Through consumer insights, research, development and innovation, LG G6 goes back to basics, empowering users to do more with its large screen while being compact enough to fit comfortably in one hand. It comes with a 5.7-inch QHD+ FullVision display, and for the first time ever in a smartphone, a highly functional 18:9 screen-to-body ratio. Compared to conventional 16:9 aspect ratio displays, the 18:9 format offers more viewing space and a more immersive experience when streaming videos and playing games.

Even with its large screen, the smartphone is easy to hold. Sculpted from aluminum and glass, the G6 offers a sleek minimalist design with rounded corners, extremely narrow bezels and a perfectly flat black—no camera bump to avoid or protect.

Video, audio and picture quality at its peak

Yael Yuzon performs and discusses the audio features of LGG6

More than the breakthrough 18:9 format and complementary design, LG G6 also stakes its claim as the first smartphone to feature Dolby Vision technology. But not only does it support Dolby Vision, it also supports HDR 10, both of which are standards for High Dynamic Range (HDR), the picture quality technology which allows a wider range of color, luminosity and detail. With HDR content from Netflix and Amazon on the rise, users can watch popular shows in stunning HDR quality on the G6, enhanced by superior audio from its Hi-Fi Quad DAC feature.

The camera technology of the G6 is also naturally advanced with its standard and wide angle settings for both the rear and front cameras, dual 13MP rear cameras (including a 125-degree lens on the wide angle) and an expanded 100-degree field of view with the wide angle 5MP front camera. The G6 features Android’s first-ever Square Camera Mode, with a function that can divide the 18:9 screen into two identical squares for simultaneous photo taking, editing and uploading, as well as creative Instagram shots. Users can also up their food photography game with the popular Food Mode function.

Bar-raising durability and user experience

Host and Blogger, Janeena Chan

The G6’s durability is further developed with its water and dust resistance. It can be immersed in up to 1.5 meters of water for as long as 30 minutes, and users can worry less about accidental drops and other rough environments during everyday use. For greater reliability against overheating, the G6 is designed with a metal frame and heat pipe to dissolve heat. The powerful device has passed 14 different military-standard 810G tests involving rain, fog, humidity and temperature, among others.

User experience is also levelled up with a built-in Google Assistant to work seamlessly and intuitively with LG apps, empowering users to get fast answers, manage everyday tasks, enjoy the best music and videos and search the G6 more quickly and efficiently than ever. With the remote after-service utilizing artificial intelligence, the more Google Assistant is used, the more personalized it becomes because it knows more about the user.

Now in Philippine shores

Prominent personalities like LA Tenorio and Sharlene San Pedro graced the event and encouraged the public to try out the smartphone, while respected industry names shared their own acclaims from different points of view. Social media influencer Janeena Chan raved about the G6 camera’s square feature and wide-angle mode while Spot.ph’s Owen Maddela shared his experience with the Food Mode. Director of local blockbuster “I’m Drunk, I Love You” JP Habac commended the G6’s video taking and Dolby Vision capabilities, while the Hi-Fi Quad DAC audio quality was lauded by Yael Yuzon, the lead singer of popular music band Sponge Cola.

“We’re so excited to introduce to the Philippine market our newest mobile innovation,” LG Mobile Philippines VP Jay Won said. “It received excellent feedback from tech experts worldwide because we listened to customers’ modern needs. The G6 went back to basics and took smartphone design, convenience and overall user experience to the next level. With the G6, we hope that Filipinos will be able to expand their capabilities using the big, immersive screen that fits in one hand.”

LG G6 is now available in the Philippines in Astro Black, Ice Platinum and Mystic White retailing for Php 37,990.00. From April 17 to 30, 2017, buyers can avail of LG’s pre-order promo and enjoy exclusive freebies worth Php 8,990 (an LG G6 case and LG Tone Infinitum bundle) as well as a one-year extended warranty.
