2GO launches the newest assition to its fleet of luxurious and modern sea vessels the M/V St. Therese of the Child Jesus (Manila-Bacolod-IloIlo-Cagayan De Oro route every Thursday at 9PM)- the aim is to promote local tourism and strengthening the economy. This 16, 622 ton and 160 meter long fleet would be able to reach destinations in the ports of Manila, Bacolod, Iloilo and Cagayan De Oro. Able to accomodate 1, 856 passengers and 200 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) Cargo.
2GO aim is to showcase Filipino tourism to locals and foreigners, at the same time raise the bar in domestic travel by providing comfort and that cruise-like experience, mostly SAFETY.
The M/V St. Therese of the Child Jesus, consist of 6 suite rooms, 12 state roonms, 21 business class and 34 tourist accommodations. With a spacious first-class var and restaurant, 24- hour convenient stor, gift shop, spa and salon, areas for karaoke and other forms of entertainment. People could also go for stargazing over at the ship’s deck. There is also a clinic and chapel.
Well I was supposed to take part of the blogger tour of the vessel, unfortunately I had duty but I was able to visit the port because that were we drop off our help, she is from Cagayan and she prefers to travel to her hometown by sea. Well according to her the ship was nice, a lot of things to keep yourself entertained, just to kill time for the long hours. Her last trip, she had a complementary free breakfast and she mentioned that they really give priority to Senior Citizens. And I am impressed with the newly renovated terminal.
