I couldn’t imagine, the number of Filipinos who are into “cosplay” or “anime”. Well you’ve seen them a lot actually (They are everywhere – most of the time). Well I’m not exactly a fan but then I feel that Japanese culture is very rich and colorful.

Animax Carnival Philippines 2015, is the most awaited event for all cosplay and anime lovers. All of my friends who are into this thing are stoked to participate. For an affordable ticket price, you get to enjoy an all-day Animax fun filled activities. Inclusive of the ticket you get to play Japanese games or activities(Kendama, Daruma Otoshi, Wanage and Shateki) , then you can gain and earned prizes. There were also booths and stalls that sold anime and japanese merchandise. And also not to forget to mention the sponsors of the event who had prepared fun and entertaining activities as well.

My sisters were mostly excited to attend because they find anime interesting, since they are on vacation, I would like them to see how ate does her thing as a blogger. They adored Animax’ mascot “Oo-kun”, a cute blue huggable creature, we couldn’t figure it out what kind of animal is it.  Oh well, he is damn right cute. Our favorite is the oo-kun merchandise area.

Filipino Fans indulged in Japanese Culture at Animax Carnival 2015

Treated to two days (May 30-31, 2015)  of fun-filled anime-themed activities, Anime Filipino Fans flocked in Animax Carnival Philippines 2015 to celebrate Japanese tradition and J-Pop.

Hosted by renowed cosplayer Rhianna Floresca and Actor Eri Neeman, the event kicked off staging various Animax Stage Games brought by event sponsors Yoshinoya, Brother and Royal Thru Orange.

Fans were given the chance to watch Animax hit anime Failry Tail as it has a special screening of its episode 1 and 2 and Phoenix Priestess.  Attendees were also lucky as Hunter X Hunter: Phantom Rouge had a special screening as well.

Meanwhile, Oo-ukun performed on stage and lucky fans had the chance to have photo opportunity with him in Oo-kun merchandise booth.

Kids and Kids at heart enjoyed the world of anime and the Japanese culture through various games and activities.

Fans were really game playing Shateki, Wanage,Kendama, Daruma Otoshi and many traditional japanese games.

Attendees were also lucky preview all of the anime posters and character artworks that have been featured on Animax. They experienced iconic Japan by learning how to write their names in Japanese and folding Origami for display.  Purchasable Japanese fashion pieces and Japanese food were also exhibited from a variety of designer booths and food stalls. Furthermore, were able to immerse themselves in products and gaming activities sponsored by Sony.

Some event goers were fortunate to bring home various merchandise and premiums from Animax such as drawstring bags, sticky notes, folders, fans and much more.

Cosplayers stage Animax characters  

Animax, Asia’s first channel specializing in Japanese animation made the Carnival bigger than before .

Anime lovers outshone each other in Animax Cosplay Competition, Solo and group categories.

Cosplayers once again showcased their costume-making talents and emulation of their favorite anime characters with a range of realistic costumes and gravity-defying anime hairstyles that thrilled visitors.

Mary Meneses gave justice to Ezra Scarlet of Fairy Tail as she took the grand prize in the solo category.

Meanwhile, the group Fairy Tail Berserkers won the coplay group category.

The contest was judged by Alodia Gosiengfiao, Filipino Actress Glaiza de Castro and Jia Hwa Chua, Senior Marketing Manager of Animax Singapore.

The winners received cash, exciting prizes and goodie bags, with attractive prizes worth over Php10, 000.

The Queen of Philippine Cosplay, Alodia Gosiengfiao electrified the stage by her portrayal of her best costumes and pegs. Fans has also been deligted as they were able to meet and greet the cosplay royalty in Fairy Tail booth for two days.

Animax Carnival Philippines also celebrated Japanese culture with the performances of special guests.

Fans were very excited as “Triqstar” electrified the stage through mixing traditional Japanese Kabuki elements with new-age dance  while Tambourine Master “Gonzo” did extremely funny tambourine exhibitions.

Filipino Group Junior New System moved and grooved the audience through their Jpop dance routine.
