Wanderland Music Fest heads to Filinvest City

Filinvest City brings Wanderland Music and Arts Festival to the south of the metro on March 4,

2017. The event will take place at the newly developed Filinvest City Event Grounds. The outdoor

event venue, which is ready to accommodate the biggest events in the country, is sure to give a

refreshing vibe to all guests.

Themed Wanderland Jungle, this year promises to be even more exciting as international names

including The Temper Trap, The Ting Tings, Explosions in the Sky, Yuna, Purity Ring, Honne,

LANY, and Woodlock, as well as homegrown indie artists such as Up Dharma Down, Tom’s Story,

With thousands of Wanderers each year, they can definitely expect a feast for the eyes and ears

as they enjoy good music. All these take place amid lush green sceneries of the outdoors at

Well growing up with the tales of Dorothy and her adventures on the yellow brick road giving it a twist was definitely interesting, The first episode shows that Dorothy is a medical practitioner like I am, as she enters the world of OZ/Emerald City- she calls herself a healer. Meeting mystical characters along the way and conqueing witches with glamourous wardrobe. Not forgetting, her 3 main – Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion, which we can’t wait on how their characters tackles in the series. Don’t forget her dog side kick, Toto. So far I’m hooked with the first episode, it may be kinda dark compared to the story that we have been used to growing up but sometimes change is good & to mix things a little. There might be something brewing between Dorothy and Lucas (who is Lucas?, he is a familiar character which would make it a shocker and twist for the series) It is for you to watch!

When the trailer was released on IFLIX’S FB Page, I wanted to start watching it but since I have a hunch that It will have a special preview for the bloggers, which it did! Last Feb 8, 2017, so I waited for it and I wasn’t disspointed till the end. At first it was kinda bland and dark for a story you lived your entire childhood but when she got to the world of OZ and Emerald city that’s when it got interesting. The location, graphics and modern/minimalist set up plus points.

Chan-Lim: Behind the Brushstrokes

The Chan Lim Family has been creating masterpieces and sharing their knowledge in Chinese painting to aspiring artists. Showcasing their talents, why not perfect and just in time for Chinese New Year- Year of the Rooster. Their works of art are displayed the SM NORTH (The Block), you wouldn’t miss it. The works of art will be available to the public till February 12, 2017. – In celebration of Chan-Lim’s 80th birthday!

Over the years, Chan-Lim family has valued art and as history says their first interaction to painting was on 1998 – A Chinese Style painting was given as a gift to the main patriarch on his 6oth birthday called “One Fine Day” which is still displayed at their Family Residence.

The exhibit contains art on Porcelain and Rice Paper(scroll painting) with the use of OIL & WATERCOLOR. I am personally a fan of the masterpieces that has PANDAS on it. I did personally studied oil painting back in highschool and I understand the time and effort to create and produce a piece of art.

Hi guys been a while and Happy Chinese New Year! In addition to that I am reviewing products from @RucysVanityPH – well this Korean brand has been circulating around the social media scene.

It says in the description, it combines the goodness of FOUNDATION & POWDER in one. Provides protection against UV rays with whitening effect mineral. It comes in 2 shades, Natural and Dark Beige.

WHAT TO LOVE!:

I like the casing, even though its white – it doesn’t get dirty easily and it is a jiffy to open (pull down the lock)

Upon opening, the powder is protected by this DOOR LIKE TRANSPARENT SEAL (easy to open) and above the seal is the sponge.
The sponge once used, doesn’t stain on the TRANSPARENT SEAL

The powder itself is not bad, it gives a matte finish look and full coverage – yeah it gives this luminesce and whitening effect (in a good way, not the chaka kind like the old days). The natural beige comes perf with my light toned skin plus it is not irritatin
It good for the whole day, reapplication if needed.

WHAT NOT TO LOVE:

I am not a fan of the sponge ( that comes with a tie) entirely but the quality of the sponge gives full coverage for the powder. I am just having a wee bit difficulty in applying using the tie because I don’t appreciate dabbing only. I am used to thick foundation sponge and prefer the stroking/strobing application – apparently you can do it on the product. So I did stroking/strobing instead of dabbing.
I noticed at the back, at the ENGLISH description, ONE WORD in shortcut “PROTCTION” & “UV LAYS which should be UV RAYS. Maybe the manufactures glitch in order to fit the text together or IT WAS JUST BY COINCIDENCE (I can’t say for all). But its NO BIGGIE, because it is still understandable and readable – amazing how the brain works! The important thing is how good the product is.

Krishgeek rates: 4/5 score ( because I am not a fan of the sponge ONLY)

San San Cosmetic Lippies (HD & Lip Crayon)

SANSAN HD (High Definition Lipstick with VIT A, C, E with SPF 15)

These HD lippies cost PHP 160. 00 and available at HBC branches – well it comes in a reasonable, affordable price and the packaging is nice (metallic & futuristic vibe). It says it provide full coverage (I suggest layers or reapplication to get the full coverage), with Vitamin A, C & E & creamy matte finish but it felt like a moisturizing lippie except “Pale Plum” & “Pretty Pink” kinda had this creamy matte finish among the bunch. On the lips it was light and refreshing plus I like the relaxing vanilla scent. It is easy to removed and it has this moisturizing effect. My favorite is the “Nude Brown” and “Pale Plum”.

SANSAN LIP CRAYON (Long wearing – Matte Finish – Vitamin C & E) PHP 165

I really like this product because it is MATTE and I like the DEEP RAISIN shade, it was light on the lips, full coverage and doesn’t create those annoying cracks that you get from matte lipsticks . It had a moisturizing effect and the price is good, reasonable and affordable. Wished it had that roll on the bottom to extend it but you have to re-sharpen (if there is such a word) with a chubby pencil sharpener.

Review:

I am a fan of the classic burger steak and ofcourse the phenomenal CHICKEN JOY – The thing with the Pepper Cream Burger Steak is that is something to get used to from the usual but its delish! The pepper in the sauce did not overpower- it met the pinoy taste and the sauce’s thickness is just right compared to the classic that is way thicker and more flavor. I just love the sweet corn toppings because it adds fiber and mixes well with the flavor. The patty is still the same kind of patty you get from JB. It’s worth the try guys and super affordable pa PHP 50 lang and may drink for additional PHP 5.

In line with the launch, is also the presentation of Jollibee’s new look/ interior/concept – a very modern pinoy vibe with murals and artworks by EGG FIASCO (known for the famous BGC Murals) and the crew/staff uniforms designed by renowned Filipino designer – Francis Libran.

Review: TOP-O (Topical Oxygen Supplement)

TOP-O is a water-based preparation which contains Water, Oxygen and Sea Salt, makes it as a moisturizer for all skin types and conditions. It says in the bottle, it compose of mainly dissolved oxygen and a tinge of sea salt in 80mL volume of water. Primarily to have good skin, OXYGEN is the key for it to be healthy, young-looking, fresh and glowing!

I personally used this anytime when my face itches or gets irritated – when my zits are breaking out and getting itchy. I just spray it over and leave it on and the itchiness plus swelling disappears which makes makes my skin feeling fresh and hydrated. I do use it before applying my make up, after washing my face, applying my toner, other creams and serum, after all absorbs that’s when I spray TOP-O (as my moisturizer).
