What’s the next big thing that you want to achieve, now that you’re starting your career, and earning your own money?
Do you have a plan on how you are going to spend your hard-earned cash? Are you thinking of buying a new phone, a laptop, or a new wardrobe? While these may be tempting, for sure you are also dreaming of having your own car in the future.
The biggest question you might have is, “Kaya ko na kayang magkaroon ng sariling kotse?” Now don’t you worry because we have an answer for you! As you are earning your own money now, this could be your way to start saving up for your dream car.
And since New Year just ushered in, it would be best to add this on your bucket list this 2016! Always remember that it’s never too early to reach your dreams. So better start saving up!
“Looking for a car that matches your need and budget is an exciting experience, especially for a first-timer. Before deciding to bring home that dream car, a number of things have to be considered. Below are a few tips that may guide you, young dreamers, in making wise use of your hard-earned money to help make that dream come true,” says Pepe Carlos, VP and head of BPI Family Auto Loan Division.
Yes, at this point in your life, it may seem intimidating just thinking about how to get your own car, but with proper guidance and advice from the experts, you can make your dream come true!
Here are three tips that can help you in planning, saving up and finally bringing home that dream car.
Know which car is right for you. Determine what kind of car you really need. It is quite challenging, so you need to carefully study your options. Whether you’re a businessman, an architect, an engineer, a call center employee, a social media specialist, a sales and marketing executive, etc., choose the car that is best suited for your daily use.
When choosing your car, several things such as car brand, model, price, and your budget should be well thought off. You may visit www.bpiloans.com, a virtual car showroom, where people looking for a brand new car can view and compare the vehicles that are available in the market today. It has a comprehensive car buyer’s guide, a user-friendly auto loan calculator, an easy to use self-assessment test and a simple online application form.
Plan your budget well. In getting a brand new car, your budget may be the most important concern that you have to think about. You need to ask yourself, “What can I really afford?”
Before you decide on making that purchase, list down your expenses. Check out how much you spend for your daily commute; see which part of your daily/monthly budget you can cut down or save.
There are other incidental expenses related to the purchase of a car that you also need to take care of like car insurance, chattel mortgage, and registration fees, among others. Some banks offer FREE insurance for the first year, so it’s important to check what offers are out there too. You can take a portion of your mid-year bonus and other monetary incentives you’ll get to add to your savings so you can allot it for the down payment of your dream car. It is typically at least 20% of the car price.
With these penned down, you can now calculate how much your monthly amortization will be, given a certain down payment via www.bpiloans.com. You can take the 60-Second Online Loan Pre-Qualification tool found in the website to see if you’re already qualified to apply for BPI Family Auto Loan. It’s easy, convenient and hassle-free!
Ask the experts. Reach out to the experts who know about bank financing for your Auto Loan. Seek a conversation with a BPI Family Bank representative to help you make the right decision and get the best deal. You may visit any BPI branch or drop by 102 Paseo in Makati to have a chat and learn more about your options.
So what are you waiting for? Getting your dream car is possible!
Pepe Carlos concludes, “A lot of people think that the process of buying a car can be a challenging one. But as long as you are informed and prepared, it doesn’t have to be.”
With BPI Family Auto Loan, let’s make your dream happen!

Blogging from the other side of the world (Wish I could be there) Tis’ the season to share the love and your creativity by designing your own personalize tin can #JoyInACan at Krispy Kreme BGC 11am-8pm, be one of the lucky 12 winners to win a year supply of krispy kreme donuts – proceeds will go to the construction of an art room of a chosen school and witness Kerby Rosanes’ doodle masterpiece on a giant tin can ❤ 📷: thanks! @igabasa

Tis’ the season to share the love and your creativity by designing your own personalize tin can #JoyInACan with Krispy Kreme. It is definitely a creative and fun activity for the season knowing that at the end of the day its all about giving back and spreading the love.
Krispy Kreme has always been known to celebrate the value of sharing, creativity, and memorable experiences. This season, Krispy Kreme continues this time-honored tradition by not only serving tasty goodies that represent the true essence of the holidays but inspiring people to share and be creative as well.
In line with this, Krispy Kreme is holding Crafty Christmas, a special activity that partners with renowned local contemporary artists to inspire customers to let out their inner artists for a good cause.
On December 12, from 11 am to 8 pm, Krispy Kreme transforms their flagship store in BGC High Street into an artist’s Christmas workshop as patrons are invited to personalize their own Krispy Kreme tin cans, in the hope that participants will use this opportunity to create a unique tin can that features their take on the spirit of the holidays.
All the patrons need to do is purchase their tin cans from the counter, after which they will be provided a special assortment of art materials that they may use to bring their designs to life.
Its not only the fun behind creating a crafty box but you know you’ll be able to help in the construction of an art classroom. A lucky school that gets to be chosen will be able to hone the art talents of their students. Krispy kreme gives value to the love of arts.
To inspire the participants, popular artist Kerby Rosanes (IG @kerbyrosanes) will be doodling on a giant Krispy Kreme tin can live! In order to further motivate the customers-turned-artists, specially decorated tin cans that embody the Yuletides made by famed artists Leeroy New and Olivia D’Aboville will be exhibited on-site.
Also present to kickstart the activity and encourage artistry are Sharon T. Fuentebella, Chairman of Max’s Group Inc. (MGI), who will provide a brief background of the event; Jim T. Fuentebella, MGI Director, who will share the importance and impact that the arts have; and Ariane Martinez-Valinton, Senior Marketing Manager of Krispy Kreme, who will explain the mechanics of Crafty Christmas.
At the end of the day, the creator of the best decorated tin can will be awarded with a year’s supply of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Aside from being a fun and interactive experience, the tin cans can perfectly hold six Krispy Kreme doughnuts making them the ideal gift that sends a sweet message to the Santas in our lives.
Best of all, the proceeds of the Krispy Kreme tin cans will go to the creation of an art room at Catmon Integrated School in Malabon. This aims to support the children’s creativity and to give them a venue in which to express their imaginations through art.
Truly, Krispy Kreme’s Crafty Christmas not only allows participants to share #JoyInACan, it also lets them give their loved ones and the students of the chosen school, a gift that keeps on giving.
That day I could feel the adrenaline rush hissing through my body, though I am not a fan of heights. I couldn’t explain why I had the courage to climb a 32 feet high ladder to get to the plank where I’ll be swinging back and forth holding on the trapeze. With all honesty, I was really excited and there is no backing out, maybe when I was halfway getting up the ladder I was like in my mind “What am I doing? and I reminded myself you signed up for this, Krish”. And I just faced my fears and just climbed ahead, then dealt with it. It was part of my 2015 bucketlist and I was so happy and thrilled when they messaged me to blog for the relaunch (The power of positive thinking, yeah?)
People asked me, was it safe? Yes! They hang you to a harness and you’ll be dropping on a huge mesh net. Then the instructors are highly skilled and trained, they can give you a give laugh (joke around) when you are not at ease. (Tip: I prefer landing on the back/butt for cushion, than landing forward- but its okay 🙂 Then listen to the instructions the trainers says, If he says hold on this and that, Just do it.
Getting on the plank was scary because it was thin! , So I stood up, transfer from one side to the other and I held into something for a while, the instructor told me not to let go while he was shifting me into another harness. Then you have to stand still, you have to arch your back and have a wide gait to get the right posture. (The instructor will be holding you, don’t worry), Then align the front part of your feet at the font edge of the plank. The instructor will hand you the bar, reach your right hand first, while your left hand is holding on into something (Like I said DON’T LET GO, until you hear any further instructions or you might fall). Then when things are ready, shift your left hand over the bar. Listen to the instructions and then HOP/JUMP. I had a hard time arching my back maybe because of nerves, (Kuya had to fix my posture because I was so stiff haha).
If you are flexible and have upper body strength like my pal, Ian. It was both our first time but he manage to carry his legs up and hanged there and swing like a pro.
This is IAN.
I couldn’t express how I felt while I was swinging, but it was sooo fun and cool! (gave myself a pat on the back for a good job) then the instructor will give you instructions to just let go and bounce on the net. Getting down is another tricky challenge you have to flip or tumble down – or just take the ladder instead- wished I knew earlier haha.
The struggle is real haha
My only mistake – on the first try, I should have like straighten my legs while swinging so I look like a swinging frog on a wrecking ball haha. The second time, I got the hang of it and just let go. I had no regrets doing it. and I am thank to instructors because I trust them with my life.
It was nerve-wrecking, exhilarating and fun! and I was a bit speechless because once you’re swinging through, you couldn’t contain the feeling. I just managed not to look down. If you are worried about the weight limit, the harness can hold up to max 250 pounds but if you can carry yourself and demonstrate, why not. You have to be 6 years old above – with consent for those below 18 ( I think, as mentioned) . Before you perform any activities, you have to sign a consent form.
The Relaunch was at Federacion Drive 9th Avenue Bonifacio Global City– near McDonalds BGC (They used to be near the football turf/Mercato, they had to move because a new property will be built on that land). The event started with the blessing, message and announcements from Will Hsu (Founder) and everyone were able to try the facilities offered besides the trampoline . The latest addition to the place is the calisthenics bars park. It can be used for parkour but calisthenics is different, it requires lot of endurance for upper body strength. Just approach anyone if you need assistance, Will said “Everyone here is family and we are a community here!”.
I do agree it is fun and it is also a workout as well. I haven’t been in the gym for 3 days because of my continuous events, so you could feel the workout the next day, my arms were kind of sore but Im used to it- you could still manage to move around. (Tip: STRETCH). Also, good stress reliever when you are drained from school or work. Need to do something over the break and try something new! Not something you do and see every single day. Highly suggested for company team-building, events and a getaway for those who opt for the thrill and adventure in the city.
Will Hsu (Founder)

As the curtain call for Kaye Morales, here comes an ensemble of bright colorful hues, the rainbow colored coat (first look- one of my fave pieces) partnered with a one piece sexy swim suit brings that cool and yet not that tacky vibe – brings that level of edgy sophistication with it. I could imagine it that something Rihanna and Gwen Stefani could rock with. Its like the Moschino collection vibe. The colors that used as prints were really put through together.
Color blocking hues continue to come out the runway, the pieces are very rebel chic and exude confidence to pull it off because the colors are not that intimidating but its bright, vibrant and cool for the eyes to stare on. From the menswear, I really loved the military print cover-up and any guy with style would grab that as part of their wardrobe. And of course the classic rocker look matching with black leather prints. How cute is that Jack Daniel’s sling bag?!
For a buyer who would be interested to purchase, you can stand out with these pieces whether you are in a party and event. It looks comfy and easy to wear pieces. Some pieces would go for an everyday look such as the cover-ups but definitely if you want to be the spotlight of the party, its a guaranteed head turner. Rebel has never looked this good. Kaye Morales inspirations has set a bar for street wear and urban wear appropriate for Manila’s young millenials.
Kaye Morales, modeled her own designs too on the runway (She looks like a model, she could carry herself in any outfit and the girl has style) along with her muses. Manila’s hottest and feistiest women in the Philippine music industry: Patty Tiu, Divine Smith, Kat De Jesus, Alex Montemayor and Marga Bermudez (Marga on the mic).
Kaye Morales embraces men and women of all backgrounds with ‘Rebel,’ the designer’s collection for Spring/Summer 2016 set to hit the historic runway on Nov. 28, 2015 at Philippine Fashion Week – now on its 20th season. Dedicated to people of edgy yet chic sartorial inclinations, the latest line features tailored and wearable pieces that come in bursts of neon, fun prints, and playful embellishments.
Drawing inspiration from her own struggles as a woman, Morales shared, “I’m a lesbian and I want to (be) open (about) myself while making the fashion industry a welcoming place for all types of people. I want (others) to understand the different types of sexuality, especially mine, as I come out in this industry.”
Morales’ latest collection serves as a throwback of sorts to her humble beginnings as a student at the School of Fashion & the Arts (SoFA), during which she made her first serious foray into the industry with ‘Schizo,’ a ready-to-wear line for the young fashionable set inclined to making punk style statements.
This season, she wants to “let the audience feel that I haven’t lost (touch with) that side of myself (as a designer) and with what I’m really good at.”
‘Rebel’ takes streetwear, as done by Morales, a notch higher with creations that are an eclectic mix of neoprene, leather, denim, and tulle made for different types of men and women, and inspired by key facets of her own personality – feminine, sporty, and rocker chic.
Divided into three segments, the Spring/Summer collection is set to open with colorful pieces the designer expects will appeal to the lipstick-wearing, more traditional demographic. An extreme sports enthusiast, Morales dedicates the second part of her show to neon and printed sportswear for a broad spectrum of sexes that allows the simultaneous enjoyment of easy style and adrenaline-induced high. The designer closes the show with an homage to rock ‘n roll – leather, black, and skulls.
Morales played around with fabrics in neon pink, orange, yellow with her signature black and red to come up with pieces that look and feel androgynous. That characteristic combined with impeccable tailoring and touches of theater in design tie in ‘Rebel’ with the designer’s more couture collections of seasons past.
“It will have vinyl and cassette accessories because music is part of (who I am). It’s where I get my inspiration from,” the SoFA and Central Saint Martins – University of the Arts London alumna said.
Alongside the reinvention of streetwear comes the launch of the Kaye Morales bag line featuring backpacks and shoulder bags made from vinyl and cassette tape. An avid surfer, the designer also throws in backpacks for beach use. Neon-tinted transparent backpacks playfully round out the Spring/Summer accessories from the design house.

Vitamin E what I learned from college is good for the skin, because Vitamin E blocks free radicals from the body, these free radicals causes skin to have wrinkles and other impurities, hence making our skin looking younger and vibrant. As repeatedly mentioned and emphasized in every MYRA commercial and advertisement, the importance of Vitamin E. Then ofcourse with the combination of certain nutrients and the help of science, Myra has created a formula for a whiter and glowing wash for the Filipina. And a perfect pair to wipe off after rinsing is the AQUAZORB Fingertip towel- also handy for workouts too. (The Aquazorb towel, great in absorbing moisture and removes pore-clogging oils, sweat and dirt, then very convenient, not the bulky to pack and easy to carry it around).
Unilab TV Commercial: Myra VitaWhite Whitening and Myra VitaSmooth Hydrating Facial Wash (Kylie Padilla)
I tried using VITASMOOTH first, surprisingly my skin was so smooth after – that tingling smooth feeling and I felt so refreshing after using it. I’ll be honest compared to the two, this is my fave and it kinda also affected my mood – in a good way. It brightens up your face and your mood too.
What makes VITASMOOTH WITH Vitamin E and Moisture plus special:
Enriched with antioxidant Vitamin E beads which protect and nourish skin to help keep it healthy with a youthful glow.
Has Moisture Plus formula that retains and seals in skin’s natural moisture, keeping it hydrated and more supple.
Contains French Spring Sea Water and Aloe Vera Extract that improves skin elasticity and helps keep it smooth and young-looking
And of course, because its from Myra®, it is hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested to be safe for everyday use.
SRP 70.00
The VITAWHITE with Vitamin E and Biowhite complex, on the other hand whitens and smoothens your skin. I did see a slight change in tone but as recommended you’ll see much of the difference as early as 7 days. So you have to continuously use it to get whiter results, Im not aiming for totally white skin, I just want my skin to look clear. I have a lot of pimple scars on my face which one of my insecurities.
Enriched with antioxidant Vitamin E beads which protect and nourish skin to help keep it healthy with a youthful glow.
Has Biowhite Complex which is derived from plant extracts that gently whitens skin
Has Niacinamide that evens out skin tone by reducing red blotches to make skin more radiant.
And of course, because its from Myra®, it is hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested to be safe for everyday use.
SRP 75.00
So grab your MYRA VITASMOOTH (Moisture plus) and VITAWHITE (Biowhite complex) both with Vitamin E at any local grocery or stores near you, and the price is affordable and reasonable. Try other MYRA products too!
Keeping up with the latest beauty trends, Filipinos are not left behind. Filipinos invest a lot on personal/beauty care based upon recent surveys. We opt for products or treatments suitable to Asian skin and the Asian weather (you’ve seen and feel it, yeah?)
Filipinos, admittedly speaking we tend to envy other cultures especially appearances. I notice how much we complement the skin(s) of the Koreans (who are massive in population here), they managed to look not their actual age – young-looking, fresh, no pores at all and totally clear skin. Well maybe because of the food they eat, lifestyle and weather back in Korea.
South Korea, has made a mark in Southeast Asia as one of the most prosperous and latest in technological advancements in science of beauty. As projected and endorsed by international Korean popstars “K-POP” invading local and international scene. No wonder, Korea is becoming popular.
Well nothing to worry, the latest state of the art technology, advancements and products is now here in the Philippines – Oracle Clinic. We can now enhance our innate Filipino beauty and achieve great skin like the Koreans and get the best treatment in the name of beauty.
Oracle Clinic, the largest networked dermatology, plastic surgery, and obesity clinic in South Korea, opens its doors to Filipinos with its first franchise in the Philippines – the Oracle Beauty Clinic. Its goal: enhancing Philippine beauty through Korean technology and expertise. Its services include top-of-the-line, non-invasive procedures such as skin lightening, tightening, resurfacing, and rejuvenation; anti-aging; hair growth; laser hair removal; signature facials; and body contouring. Plans are also underway for surgical procedures to be offered as part of its roster. In addition, the proprietary line of Dr. Oracle products will soon be made available at the clinic, allowing clients to continue their skincare regimen at home.
Founded by renowned Korean dermatologist, Dr. Ro Young Woo, Oracle Clinic has branches in Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, and China and recently, Hong Kong, and won the Korea Industry Grand Prize in 2011 for its top-class Korean technology, training, and experience. Its first Philippine branch is staffed by doctors and registered nurses who not only have extensive experience in beauty, dermatology, and plastic surgery, but were also trained in South Korea to know first-hand the secret behind the success of Oracle Beauty Clinic.
Says Susan Dimacali, one of the partners of the Oracle Beauty Clinic franchise in the Philippines, “From Koreanovelas to Seoul food to KPop, South Korea is particularly close to my heart. I have always been amazed at their dominance in the beauty industry, driven as it is by innovation, technology, and a true understanding of beauty. Opening the doors of Oracle Beauty Clinic to Filipinos is exciting, because now we are able to take our love for all things Korean one step further – by using their state-of-the-art technology to enhance our innate Philippine beauty. We welcome everyone to experience and see first-hand what truly world-class dermatological services are like.”
Adding to the excitement of the country’s first South Korean dermatological franchise is the face of Oracle Beauty Clinic, Clara Lee. The South Korean actress, singer, dancer, host, and model rose to fame with Gwiyomi Song 2 and the Koreanovela Emergency Couple. I’ve done my research , she is 30 years old and she doesn’t look 30, I’m like, seriously? And she looks gorgeous and she manages to keep a good figure, with proper diet, exercise, beauty regimen and regular visit to beauty clinic- she is the perfect face and ambassador. Due to her busy schedule she was unable to make it to the launch here in manila but she said she will come to the launch of Oracle’s second branch, hopefully early next year at the heart of BGC maybe?.
Oracle clinic is located at 2F Republic Glass Bldg. 196 Salcedo Street Corner Soria Street Legaspi Village, Makati City. Please do set an appointment before going, and before anything else you will be faced and consulted by a dermatologist/physician- It is a MUST.

The price rates vary upon the treatment, (So be financially prepared but the prices are reasonable) It maybe kinda pricey but it is worth it. I’ve tried their best-selling hydra facial, its painless because the extraction they use, is a suction machine instead. It is very relaxing and refreshing afterwards, compare to other beauty clinics that manually put pressure during extraction using a tool.
What are the treatments, Oracle offers?
I. Laser hair removal (Pontiac Diode and IPL SHR)
II. Skin Tightening (Ultherapy, Ultra V-Shape, Thermage, NIR)
III. Hair Growth
IV. Skin Resurfacing (Fractional RF and REVLITE)
V. Acne Erase (Revlite and S-Acne)
