I am not really a fashion or  style blogger though I love dressing up, posing & taking OOTDs, shopping ofcourse! and I love fashion (wanted to take up a fashion course when I was younger- but ended up with another path, that’s another story to tell and I grew up with brands because of my mom and the influence of her work place) I still have a lot of room to improve and yes, I do feel insecure to be around fashion bloggers who have their A game when it comes to fashion and style. Fit bloggers get to dress anything they  want,  look their best and dress way better, compare to me I have to be certain because if it looks good for my body type (I am a BIG girl kasi). But I do admire fashion & style bloggers, YES I do. I have a lot of friends who are and I get to meet, love the wisdom they share and nice to keep up with them when it comes to trends, so much good and trendy fashion & style bloggers today also forgot to mention beauty & fitness bloggers too J

But it’s okay, I love my body but like I said I have to improve. I’m back to my what you call balik alindog program after gaining much during my board exam, it has been a struggle and Im glad to lose atleast 15 kilos, aiming to lose more and I prefer to take it slowly because its already a LIFESTYLE. Well at the end of the day its all about how you carry yourself. That’s why I decided to fit in the category lifestyle because you can blog anything under the sun.

This year, got out of my comfort zone and collab with my Ms. Gaile, her shop called “Shopaholic Therapy”. FB PAGE: Shopaholic Therapy Online Shop and Intsagram: @shopaholictherapy_osph. The shop sells everything from clothes, bags, shoes and makeups. Affordable and trendy! For inquries please Viber  #09154336325.

Nude and Brown shade lippies are back! Very 90s and I do recall my make-up artist during my 20th birthday saying that brown shade lippies suits me. Dark brown lippies for me when I go to events and light nude shade for everyday use,

And the CROP TOP, especially when its black goes with anything from casual – pair it with a high waist pants, shorts and midi skirt (mostly trending  nowadays) to “Athleisure”(If its like air dry quality), you’ve seen Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner rock them- pair it with fitted and hugging track pants (the air dry ones) and leggings for as long its high waist. If you can rock them in Palazo pants and high waist pants whether ripped or not, go for it . Covered or not  it’s  still how you present yourself!

HOW DO I LOOK? ASIA ARRIVES ON DIVA TO FIX ASIA’S FASHION FAUX PAS

17 August 2015 – It’s time to go head over
heels for DIVA’s How Do I Look? Asia – the highly anticipated
Asian re-imagination of the hit fashion makeover series. Billed as “Asia’s ultimate fashion fix,” How Do I Look? Asia will make its debut on Monday, 31 August at 8PM
(SIN/MAL) on DIVA, NBCUniversal International Networks’ leading entertainment channel for women in
Asia.

The NBCUniversal International format,
produced by NBCUniversal’s Matchbox Asia, follows Malaysian celebrity
and style icon Sazzy Falak as she guides eight fashion victims to the path of
fashion enlightenment. Jeannie Mai, host of the original U.S. version, and a
familiar face to Asian viewers, features in each episode, setting up the
fashion challenges each week.

The fashion-challenged victims
include onesie-addict/ blogger Apple Allison of
Sole Searching Soul (Philippines); indie
rock guitarist Ariana (Malaysia); mismatch, mishap/ watercolor artist Choc
(Taiwan); sales executive, and literally
plain Jane
(Philippines/Australia); overachieving, yet outdated, Lavinya (Malaysia); rebel
teacher Lianni (Philippines); romantically-insecure Maisarah (Singapore); and
the uninspiringly-dressed motivational speaker Yessinta (Indonesia).

To achieve a professional look that can be
replicated for the everyday, Sazzy will be joined by a guest stylist in each
episode: Liz Uy (Filipina celebrity stylist); Zac Wu (Taiwanese celebrity
stylist); Andrea Wong (former editor of Elle Malaysia); and Anindita Saryuf
(fashion director of Elle Indonesia).

In each episode, Sazzy and an accomplice – a concerned family member, friend or colleague
– will help transform the
lucky fashion victim into a beacon of style.
After having their wardrobe raided, the individual will have their
current fashion choices face the “Eww Tube”, one of the iconic
features of the original format. The “Eww Tube” is a vacuum cleaner-like machine that
literally sucks offending outfits up and away after they have been eliminated
by the panel of fashion experts and accomplices.

The transformations featured on the series
transcend fashion and style. Viewers will also get to witness the complex and
emotional backstories of the victims, whose glamorous new looks, and freshly
developed sense of style, act as a catalyst for them to adopt a more positive
and confident outlook on life.

How Do I Look? Asia
is a testament to DIVA
s position as
the leading women
s
entertainment channel in Asia. We are confident that this ground-breaking local
production, like its original franchise, will strongly resonate with our core
female audiences across the region,
” said Christine Fellowes, Managing Director, Asia
Pacific, NBCUniversal International Networks. “Using the insights from various in-depth research
initiatives on Asian women that NBCUniversal has conducted and developed over
the recent years, How Do I Look? Asia features many of the elements that
we found women loved: fabulous and fun makeovers, the hottest fashion trends
tailored to Asian sensibilities, inspiring and heart-warming personal stories,
and a positive underlying message that encourages every woman to be her best
self.
”

Jeannie and Sazzy will be making live
appearances as they tour Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam later this month on
the following dates:

Singapore: 20-22 August

Moshi and the makings of a modern, fashionable man

Power Mac Center partners with the US accessories brand to premiere at Philippine Fashion Week

PASIG CITY, June 12, 2015 – Gone are the days when the language of fashion remained ambiguous at best for the male population. Forget distasteful, lacklustre, uninspired—men have come to their own, sartorially speaking. The rise of the modern, style-conscious man is inspired by key influencers whose serious fashion sense is changing the game for a predominantly female industry.

Anthony Nocom (Moshi)
Anthony Nocom (Moshi)

Transitioning from perennially boring to impeccably suave reveals just how men’s style is moving fashion-forward, even here in the Philippines. Says fashion designer Anthony Nocom, “Men’s attitude towards fashion is changing. They are trying to find out who they are and create their own style. There’s a greater sense of individualism.”

This newfound male fashion consciousness catches up on the wardrobe department and makes it easier for style visionaries such as Anthony to create and market their menswear garments. After all, as the age-old saying goes, clothes make the man.

In the case of Daniel Matsunaga—renowned model, endorser, and athlete in the Philippines—clothes do make the slick, cosmopolitan man.  At 6’1, Daniel is one towering and striking figure who effortlessly pulls off a regular henley and sweatpants just as much as a designer tuxedo and trousers. The Brazilian-Japanese hunk certainly embodies modern day excellence in men’s fashion.

“My outfits serve as a fashion statement, and they speak of being comfortable and cool,” says Daniel, who considers suits as his wardrobe staple to achieve a well-polished look.

Classic, relaxed and contemporary are attributes essential to 26-year-old Daniel when deciding his fashion agendas in clothing as in accessories. His work entails a jet-setting lifestyle that he depends on his gadgets to stay organized and digitally connected. “Being always on the go, I make sure my devices are protected and safe all the time,” he explains.

The key is to find a brand that can carry and safeguard his gadgets, according to Daniel.  The tech and fashion-savvy man in him discovered that Moshi perfectly fits the profile and more.

Founded in 2005 with the vision to bring beauty to the world of electronics, Moshi leverages on product design in creating beautiful, practical and environmentally friendly accessories that meet customers’ needs in remarkable and practical new ways.

Moshi is set to premiere in the Philippine fashion scene through its collaboration with Power Mac Center. As the Official Technology Retail Partner of the Philippine Fashion Week, Power Mac Center will showcase fashion-forward mobile and digital lifestyle accessories in the country during the biggest fashion event slated for June 12-14 at the SM Aura Premier in Taguig City.

The US brand certainly has brought refinement in consumer electronics with the Moshi Urbana, a stylish and slim-fitting briefcase crafted with lightweight and durable materials that can carry a laptop and other gadgets. Weather and water-resistant, Urbana also comes with the fully adjustable and removable ViscoStrap™ that allows users to comfortably carry the bag over their shoulder.

Its form and function makes Moshi Urbana the perfect accessory statement bag for Daniel, a tech and fashion-savvy man who totes the laptop bag on the road to ensure that his devices are stylishly shielded from all elements.

“Moshi brings together versatility and design to come up with the perfect carry-all solution for my tech gadgets,” remarks the Power Mac Center brand ambassador for Moshi.

Moshi’s array of stylish laptop bags will be integrated seamlessly on the runways of Philippine Fashion Week, complementing Anthony’s Holiday 2015 Collection titled “A New Attitude.”

Starting off his career designing ready-to-wear clothing for the country’s biggest fashion retailer, Anthony then founded his eponymous label that focuses on creating wardrobe staples for men.

“I aim to evoke ease, comfort and self-confidence wherever the wearer finds himself,” states Anthony.

Inspired by the appealing quality of the Filipino male physique and guided by the principle of flexibility, Anthony’s latest collection is aptly named to epitomize the style transformation and unique sense of individuality of the modern, cosmopolitan man.

Anthony notes that Moshi completes the visual appeal of his collection pieces that are versatile enough to be worn on the runways or out in the streets. “Moshi is a correct match to my collection – simple, basic and does not call for attention,” he enthuses.

With its strong sense of aesthetics and utility, Moshi is indeed aligned with the modern man’s take on fashion. Moshi is available at all Power Mac Center locations nationwide. For more information, log on to www.powermaccenter.com or visit a Power Mac Center store near you.

Moshi Bags

As the Official Technology Retail Partner of the Philippine Fashion Week, Power Mac Center will showcase Moshi’s array of stylish mobile accessories such as the Urbana slim laptop briefcase in Cerulean Blue (left) and the Venturo slim laptop backpack in Navy Blue (right) at the country’s biggest fashion event slated for June 12-14 at the SM Aura Premier.

Daniel Matsunaga

Model, endorser, and athlete Daniel Matsunaga enthuses about Moshi, his go-to brand for that stylish bag that complements his well-polished look. As a modern, style-conscious and cosmopolitan man, the Brazilian-Japanese is the ideal Power Mac Center brand ambassador for Moshi, whose array of accessories effortlessly fit the profile.

PASIG CITY, June 12, 2015 – With mobile technology seemingly integrated into our lives, accessories are gaining momentum to inspire more brands to try their hand on developing products that enhance mobile devices and embody the user’s distinctive style at the same time.

This dynamic change resonates well with the fashion industry, which is certainly pushing the boundaries to take the emerging market for tech accessories to greater and trendier heights.

(c) Krizia Catapang
(c) Krizia Catapang

Celebrity Gretchen Ho is thrilled to see it all unravel. “Fashion is a very exciting part of our culture and it’s about time that tech has caught up with style and individuality,” beams the 25-year-old Gretchen.

Undoubtedly one of the most admired sports personalities of her generation, Gretchen gained prominence during her successful collegiate volleyball career. She has proven her skills beyond the court as she dabbles in hosting television shows and corporate events.

Gretchen, who also runs an inspirational merchandise business and is very much involved in managing her official webpage, relies heavily on her gadgets to manage her schedule and sustain her online presence.

The right combination of style, quality, functionality and price serves as the blueprint for Gretchen in choosing accessories like headphones to match her favorite gizmos. The Filipino-Chinese beauty has had to try on several pairs before finally discovering Happy Plugs, whose accent pieces make a fashion statement for tech-savvy audiences like her.

Happy Plugs, the international fashion and lifestyle brand established in September 2011 with the ambition of transforming essential tech accessories into fashion must-haves, teams up with Power Mac Center for its first ever fashion event collaboration in the Philippines.

Being the Official Technology Retail Partner of the Philippine Fashion Week, Power Mac Center will present Happy Plugs’ latest collections of headphones, smartphone and tablet cases, setting the pace for accessories at the biggest fashion event happening at SM Aura Premier on June 12-14, 2015.

For Happy Plugs, color is style and identity, thus coming up with the “What Color Are You Today?”® concept in creating accessories that convey value as much as aesthetics. Its ability to merge fashion and technology bodes well for Happy Plugs which has garnered a celebrity following, including Gretchen.

“What I like about Happy Plugs is the simplicity of the design and its focus on functionality. The colors and patterns are so fun to mix and match with my different outfits,” muses the new Power Mac Center brand ambassador for Happy Plugs.

An avid runner and a music fan, Gretchen says Happy Plugs has become essential in her workout routine. The Happy Plugs Earbud (Red) headphones is perfect for her as it stays comfortably in her ear to provide optimized sound quality. The In-Ear (Gold Deluxe Edition), on the other hand, fits Gretchen’s sleek and sophisticated personality off court.

“With Happy Plugs, I feel very confident because I’m wearing a stylish piece and with the quality, I feel like there is nothing that can disturb my experience. The styles are also very classic and are sure to last for a long time, so what more can you ask for?” adds Gretchen.

Happy Plugs accessories are likewise outfitted to complement the latest collections of two of the country’s most renowned fashion designers.

Arnold Galang believes that fashion has moulded even the digital world and the big challenge for tech brands is to continuously evolve and create accessories that bear an authoritative fashion stamp. He affixes his nod of approval on Happy Plugs’ range of audio accessories.

For Arnold, Happy Plugs not only meets the demand for up-to-date accessories that are in-sync with the style trend of today’s generation but it’s also attuned with his fresh new take on the basics as well. The brand’s design flair is evident on its array of In-Ear and Earbud collections.

“The use of popular print and patterns and the love of color of Happy Plugs inspired my entire collection,” states Arnold, whose 2015 Philippine Fashion Week holiday collection is entitled “ONE.” “It was so exciting to incorporate something that, as a designer, I have always loved.”

Lyle Ibañez, for his part, underlines how accessories personalize devices nowadays. “You can dress up your gadgets just like how you dress up yourself. It’s become fashionable. It’s a lifestyle,” he says.

Happy Plugs pulls it off with their mobile cases, according to Lyle, whether for smartphones like the Ultra Thin Case collection or for tablets like the Leopard and Camouflage Book cases.

Lyle describes Happy Plugs as very sleek and functional, qualities essential to accessories that are all the rage in the digital era. He says his 2015 holiday collection “Pop Couture” features ensembles that, when worn with Happy Plugs, captures the very essence of his personal style: modern, structured and sophisticated.

Combining elegance, vibrancy and wearability, Happy Plugs is geared to make for a fashion extravaganza at the Philippine Fashion Week. Happy Plugs is available at all Power Mac Center stores nationwide. For more information, log on to www.powermaccenter.com.

Power Mac Center x Philippine Fashion Week 2015

Philippine-Fashionweek

Since 2010  I have been an attendee of Philippine Fashion Week, this year its a different set up at the Aura Atrium level 1 of SM Aura Premier. Now the general public get to see first hand this season of designers can offer. But well you have to register or get invited to be up-close. The event doesn’t provide a number of seats for everybody like before, so you have to really have to come early and get good seats or you end up standing up or hang at the Powermac media center like we did on the second day ( I came from another event that day so we came a bit late, but the people from power mac were really friend and accommodating, they offered us seats and snacks )

This year’s Philippine Fashion Week is a  take is on Technology and Style. Philippine Fashion week 2015 partners with Power Mac Center. Perfect timing for Independence day since the event started on June 12. It all about Showcasing Filipino designers and their creations on the runway.

Day 1  JUNE 12 – Beats by Dr. Dre, CaseMate, Moshi and HappyPlugs

Day 2 JUNE 13 – Gosh, HappyPlugs and KnomoLondon

Most of my fave collections were on the first day. On the second day I also had my favorites as well. So far, this year was my favorite season for Philippine Fashion week because the designs were unique and creatively done. I had an eye on minimalist designs,  easy to wear and twist on the Filipino traditional wear. The designers did a good job in creating proudly Pinoy masterpieces. Phfw pulled it off once again, I would like to personally thank Power Mac Canter for the invite and kind accommodation during the 2 days of the event. Check out the photos I took and the ones I liked.

with BenCab!

Freeway’s National Artist Collectors’ Series started out in 2009 as a pocket collection to pay Tribute to the works of our National Artists.  It was a hopeful experiment. Thankfully, it was well appreciated. Since then, Freeway has paid tribute to the following National Artists bi-annually:

2009 – Nick Joaquin (Literature)
AngKiukok (Visual Arts)

2010 – Jose Garcia Villa (Literature)
Ramon Valera (Fashion)

            Federico AguiarAlcuaz (Visual Arts)

2015 –  Benedicto Cabrera (Visual Arts) – living National Artist

Benedicto Cabrera Biography

Benedicto Cabrera, more popularly known as BenCab is one of the most respected visual artists in the Philippines. His art has portrayed socio-political issues and various aspects of Filipino identity, earning acclaim for expressing universal human themes. Hailed as a master of contemporary Philippine art, he is also one of our few remaining living treasured National Artists.

Born in 1942 in Manila, Philippines, BenCab is the youngest of nine children born to Democrito Cabrera and Isabel Reyes of Pampanga. During childhood, he first discovered his interest in arts through his elder Brother Salvador who was already an established artist at that time. He pursued his love for the arts and went on to study at the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts, where he explored different art visual forms – photography, draftsmanship and printmaking.

Spending 13 years in London, BenCab shares with many of his countrymen the experience of longing for home. The physical distance caused him to become more keenly aware of his roots and the realities of life in the Philippines. He returned in 1985 to permanently settle in Baguio City. The BenCab Museum (www.bencabmuseum.org) was established in Baguio in 2009, to house the artist’s personal collection of tribal art from the Cordillera highlands and contemporary Philippine art. In the same year, BenCab was conferred a doctorate in the Humanities, honoris causa, by the University of the Philippines. BenCab was awarded National Artist of the Philippines for Visual Arts (Painting) in 2006.

His paintings and works have been the subject of three books, Ben Cabrera: Etchings (1970-1980) by Cid Reyes; Bencab’s Rock Sessions by Eric Caruncho; and BENCAB by Alfred Yuson and Cid Reyes.

For years, I have tagged along with my friends to every SuperSALE bazaar event and been an avid follower of  their events because one thing,  I love to shop and the time when the best online shops get together and sell their products on a way cheaper value compare to ordering it online. This year is special, because I have started to blog and been invited by www.pinkproductions.com and brought my sister to her first bazaar. Bonded over shopping and bought goodies we like.
