Thiocell, glutathione is a new scientific breakthrough first in the Philippines. Produced by Brady Pharma, US. The first ever, Glutathione in lozenge form and named the most effective- also safe. You heard me right, some Filipinos are obsessed with the idea to achieve a whiter glow, (its alright, if that what makes people happy and look better) but what makes this product different among all other forms of whitening being advertise and spent for compare to other tablets and other topical forms (soaps and creams).
Dr. Kaycee Reyes of LUMINISCE
What makes it different, it is because of 3 things : First, the SCIENCE – Thiocell, is the brainchild of Dr. Theodore Hersch. It is composed of 500 mg reduced glutathione, Other ingredients include, Vitamin C 100 mg, Grapeseed extract 25 mg, Vitamin D 200 IU, Vitamin E 10 IU and L-selenomethionine. Glutathione neutralize toxic free radicals that we know causes oxygenated damage to the organs. For those who are fair skinned, it inhibits the production of new melanin to look younger, fresh and decreases skin blemishes. For dark skinned, production of increase melanin cells.
Second is the GCS Formula, Stands for “Glutathione, Vit C and selenomethionine” with these 3 combined, it increase the production of Glutathione(whitening) and a stronger immune system. Combination of grapeseed extract and Vitamin E, also increases the production of Glutathione.
Third, the LONZENGE – it is said that there is better absorption between the teeth and inner cheek. TIP: Take it with water – then I kinda grind it with my teeth after. The taste? Well I’ve been personally trying it for a few days now, I decided to take it ONCE a day, It tasteS similarly to Kremil-S but kinda more tutti-fruity like but more sour (its like medicine) and BIG compare to others.
You can consume 3-4 lozenges a day (Please don’t go overboard that can lead to overdose). BUT as advised you can start on the FIRST week 3 lozenges in a day, the SECOND week 2 lozenges in a day and THIRD week and the rest just ONCE in a day. Or CONSULT A DERMATOLOGIST OR PHYSICIAN to be sure (Advise from a nurse). Like I said, I decided to take it ONCE a day, well I LOVE and I am content with my morena skin (its suits me better), as advised by my derma taking glutathione would help with my dark spots to lighten along with the treatment I’m going through with so lets see if it does help. For P2600, It is available as of now at Lazada to be purchased and If you have the means go and try!
@krishgeekness Im not aiming to be white, I learned to love my morena skin tone. According to my derma, glutathione may help to lighten up my “dark insecurities/spots” so lets see my journey with #Thiocell thank you! (First & only glutha in lozenge form) on the blog soon 💕

Partnering with the event, top of the line medical solutions, Skin Perfection (Originally from the US). The Skin perfection clinical solutions have a basic and intensive program, It offers effective and sustainable solutions to correct various skin problems, including acne inflammation, hyper pigmentation and aging skin associated with loss of elasticity. Well their products is what we call “hiyang” to the Asian skin and ofcourse the asian climate, It is water-base and light weight. Wide range of products that cover whitening, acne and anti-aging (home care – skin need & professional treatments – skin perfection & skin expert). Well they do have treatments with the use of nano peptide particles technology,- small particles that penetrates deep into the layers of the skin. Peptide chemistry- amino acids regulates cellular mechanisms that controls oil production, reduces melanin production (hyperpigmentation) and modulates muscular contractions.
They’ve presented one of their known treatments, the oxygen facial – makes the skin look refreshing and young-looking (recommended to be done every week- if possible) Usually cost about P1800 (Additional for musk- your choice, it may reach to about P2500) and it is worth investing for – if you have the means. There are 3 types (ACNE, WHITENING and ANTI-AGING)
I tried their oxygen facial at “Forever Beautiful” at MegaMall. (Skin Perfection has partnered with clinics – “Face and Facets”-Quezon City(Don Antonio) and Selected clinics in Makati). So they cleanse your face first, applied glycolic acid to lessen pimples and black/white heads – needed to be absorbed for minutes, then steam for 10-15 minutes, the ultimate “tiis-ganda” EXTRACTION, The use of the so-called “Rejuvenation machine” (The air that comes up helps dry pimples), The facialist applied one soothing cream that I forgot to note the name. Lastly, the antibacterial ointment.
In all honesty, when my friend saw me after, she said my face brightened & lightened up and it seems I haven’t gone through a painful facial. (She’s seen me go through my other facials from other clinics – my face is so swollen after every procedure). We’ve took selfies and I agree, My skin looks great! “Forever Beautiful nga!”

“Everyone has there very own desert that everyone can relate too?”- Virginia Close
Virginia Close bravely published her very first novel after so many years of having the passion for writing during her formative years. She started showing off her works by posting on her blog and writing for publications.
Her first book, The Murder In Dessert Inn starring Nelly, the protagonist of the story. Virginia shared she really stayed in the desert for 4 months to actually feel the vibe and find inspiration to her story. 25% of her work was based on research and her tips when it comes to writing is just write down when she has that sudden spur of the moment.
Going back, Nelly the lead character, represents every Filipina and all about women empowerment and the journey she has to go thru. Because of the warmth of the desert, Virginia Close wants us to bring to that realm and experience it ourselves by reading her book.
Nelly finds herself in the desert. Her adventures and the saga of a myth-like fantasy conjure the totality of her identity. The unfriendly environment synonymous to the people that she encounters and the isolation of the desert gives her the inspiration to dream of going back in time. For more than twenty years of her quintessence, the memories of her job way back annihilate and obliterate from her soul. The craving for action, the places she visited like mortuaries – courthouses – and chasing the criminals to find the truth; enigmatic transparent on her nous to the purification of her lost Ipseity. Cardinal to her happiness – is reliving her past.
The dynamics of the desert that Nelly does not know reveals to her own persona. The conglomeration of her present will guide her through; her passion for finding the truth is inevitable and unstoppable. The different characters that she meets along her path give her the greatest experience that not in her wildest dream exist. Her strong desire to write is the quest for her identity that she lost a long time ago. And little did she know that a murder in a place called Desert Inn is her ticket back to her long lost self.
Virginia Close is a writer and poet of Filipino descent living in Cairns, Australia. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and received her training from Communication Foundation for Asia and Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation. In her early 20’s, she moved to Australia in search of an adventure where she found love. Then she spent the next years raising two loving children and traveling the world. Now in her 50’s, she is taking time rediscovering her first love – writing with a particular interest in mystery, drama, love, relationship and discovering oneself. Virginia’s writings also bring the insightful perspective of a migrant in Australia.

Jamba Juice continues to create nutritious and scrumptious blends reminding us that they are not just a brand of healthy produce but the importance of what being healthy is all about and they are the perfect pair for the Filipino active lifestyle.
Jamba Juice supports avenues for a better you movement like Football. There is a massive fan base of basketball and volleyball fanatics here in the Philippines but Football is starting to become a trend and being embraced by the Filipinos as counting it it as a fun past time.
I remember my high school days as a stroll around the campus, my non-filipino friends and neighbouring schools dig really into the sport (Football season is a big deal in oman, most gulf state countries do) also when I visited Europe – football is well praised as how Filipinos go crazy over basketball. To every shawarma place I go in Oman or a local coffee shop you’ll see a big screen dedicated to every football match. Literally Messi, Ronaldo and Al-Habsi advertisements everywhere you turn. I don’t have smooth football moves, I tried a couple of times in high school, My non-Filipino schoolmates made me try but I say it requires skill though it was fun (I’m not really competitive – you could steal the ball from me any second HAHA ) so I just prefer to watch them instead. The non-Filipinos in my school mostly play football and they encourage the Filipinos in our school to try.
Impossible Move Manila, an exciting football face-off spearheaded by Jamba Juice, aims to challenge this exact notion and inspire achievers to go beyond their own capabilities. “We want to show people that through hard work, dedication, and collaboration, the seemingly impossible can be done excellently,” said Sharon Fuentebella, Max’s Group Incorporated (MGI) Executive Vice President.
“Impossible Move Manila” seeks to encourage and motivate these young active achievers to continue pursuing their passions by being part of a community of like-minded people. “We want the young generation of Filipino achievers to continue nurturing their passions and chase after their own personal goals. And we are here to join them and push them to do just that,” shared Ms. Fuentebella.
“Impossible Move Manila” is the first of a series of sports activities that will dare participants to exceed what they think they are capable of. The activity begins with a short workshop at Jamba Juice in Bonifacio High Street—the brand’s flagship store in the Philippines—which will be led by standouts from the national football team, Mark McMahon and Charlie Sutcliffe.
Coach Charlie SutcliffeCoach Mark McMahon
Throughout the day, special Jamba Juice blends specially created by Mark and Charlie will also be served to ensure that the players have the necessary boost and fuel to up their game. At the end of the program, outstanding players will be awarded with exclusive prizes that include a year’s worth of Jamba Juice!
After the motivational pep talk from Coach Mark and Coach Charlie- whipping up his signature power up smoothie .Then it was time to hit the turf with the kids (participants) along with other coaches. Prior heading to the turf, The coaches already placed them into teams. From Jamba Juice BGC High Street we walked together as a group to the BGC Football Turf.
The coaches started off by jogging around the turf and doing basic warm-ups before getting in the turf. I’m glad I brought Jean with me to keep me company and relieved she has her own pair of spikes that we could both try to play football.
Got the chance to interview the cool Coach Mark McMahon, He was born here in the Philippines and mostly grew up in Scotland. We were able to chit chat with him during their break. As told, he had a hard time at first coping with the Philippine weather but I could see how well adjusted he is and his Tagalog is flawless. He had his share of experiences and I could say he is a really down-to-earth guy. He also has a big heart, I heard he has an advocacy at his hometown at Siargao- where he was born and also, he is an Ambassador of Hope as mentioned to me by Miss Liezl Jardo.
Coach Mark shared me a nice tip on how to prevent blisters while working out, Note: Apply Vaseline before putting on your socks. (If may budget, you can buy like anti blister-silicon-thingy for the shoes HAHA)
It was nice of Coach Mark to teach us basic football moves (The passing and dribble). And he encouraged us to take part of the #ImpossibleMove challenge they prepared for the kids. Apparently I wasn’t able to finish the workshop because I have to head back early to QC and it was my sister’s 18th birthday.
Coach Charlie, was really hands on with the workshop and training. You could see how passionate he is about the sport and the enthusiasm on his face. Too bad, I left early, I might have interviewed him with Coach Mark. I could see he was really busy, running here and there, I was kinda shy to approach him during the workshop but I was able to get a photo op with him and he asked us if we ever try football – There’s always a next time.
My admiration goes to the entire team who planned the event and also the other coaches who were there, KUDOS! Everyone was so approachable, there is that warm welcome and even the kids they were socially friendly too- they even scored us some tips on kicking and passing.

A day of ultimate food tasting experience “Foodgasm invades Maginhawa” #Foodgasm2015. I was really honored and flattered to be chosen as one of the blogger-judges of the event. Well Nov 17, 2015 was the week Lando decided to invade the area of responsibility.Judging that day was a definite challenge, I wasn’t able to use my DSLR, the fear of getting my cam to get soaked under the rain so I used my iphone instead. Well I was able to get a few shots and some were not of good quality. Imagine me, foodtasting under the pouring rain (well it drizzled most of the time) and scoring/judging the same time (hassle but challenge accepted). Kudos, also to my fellow bloggers for this “buwis-health” moment, for the giving justice to food. Im just glad I have my pals, Jacky and Jovi with me to assist me.
with Jovi and Jacky!
The best part is the eating part! Yes. Before anything else, I really aimed before the event to reach my fitness target goal of 79 kgs, and luckily I did. Deep down inside, I know the event would be my ultimate cheat day. I would be tasting 40 different food stalls (Set A and Set B). To be fair I would not be revealing my faves, because as a judge I have to be fair. Actually I had a hard time on deciding which – would it be the savouries or the sweets (I’m guilty of having a sweet tooth).
@krishgeekness
Not bad for P200 (pre-selling) / P250 (door price) to purchase tickets, I was able to ask some people who I met along the way and said it was “sulit”. For just one time payment, you get to taste a lot of foodstalls. There was also a bazaar, eating contest, programs & festivities prepared and I heard the concert was a hit, based on the posts I saw on instagram and twitter. The were also other concessionaires who rented a space, The main participants of the events were not charged for their tents. A back story of how they were able to gather participants – some of them registered and others were invited via emails and they did door-to-door. The proceeds of the event will be collected and used to support their college, high school scholars and partnered communities.
I congratulate UP Economics Society along with the sponsors and partnered organizations for being able to pull off the event even though it rained and there was a delay in following the allotted time frame. Foodgasm is an outlet to promote new up-and-coming food businesses in hand with the bloggers and social media partners in promoting the event. Congrats also to the winners!

Honda, the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer, is introducing another exciting motorcycle one after the other in the Philippines.

Personally, Im “Hiyang”(good effects on you – IDK? ) with Palmolive Naturals- since I was in high school. As I got older, I narrowed it down to brands that I’m “hiyang”, Palmolive Naturals is one. Currently I used Palmolive naturals for Colored hair (Shampoo and conditioner). Before I dyed my hair I also used other types of Palmolive conditioners- actually I tried almost all. For my colored hair, it is important to use conditioner to achieve that HAGOD-SOFTNESS and HAGOD-READY hair because shampoo is never enough. By applying it after shampoo and when Im in the gym’s steam room I sub it with my hair musk in case I run out. For me I need a conditioner that fits my active and busy lifestyle.
For Normal Hair, Frizzy/wavy and Dry/Coarse
As girls, our hair is our crowning glory and it exudes confidence/power. That’s why we have to take care of it. With the Philippine weather, hair should always be hagod-ready, hagod-soft and hagod-longlasting smell so anytime and anywhere we can let down our hair and hagod from here to there.
Starting fom the crown of her hair, the “hagod” is a signature move of the modern, independent woman. The hagod involves runner her fingers through her hair – stroking it from the roots to the tips. Whether the hagod results in gathering locks to one side or letting hair naturally fall back into place. Every modern woman knows that the hagod is only possible with hair that is soft and manageable.
The hagod expresses her hair’s softness that lasts through the day, just like her feminine confidence. Tha hagod signals that she is ready to let her hair down and face whatever is coming her way.Her hagod-soft hair is a source of confidence, allowing her to effortlessly own her day.
Palmolive naturals conditioner, ensures her hair is always hagod-soft and hagod-ready from day to night. Its formula, infused with 100% natural extracts and micro-moisturizers, penetrates deep into hair. With continued use, Palmolive naturals gives her long-lasting softness, every woman will want to do the hagod from day to night. Plus, it has its signature, long lasting fragrance, releasing an irresistible scent with every stroke. – Ikaw ano ang hagod mo?
Share your Palmolive hagod on www.facebook.com/PalmoliveNaturals and use the hashtags #ItoangHagodKo and #PalmoliveHagod
It was cool but INTENSE. I was having a hard time hitting on the target during the first round but I got the hang of it after. The recoil/ jerking, frustrates me the most.
I am very grateful to the entire Stronghand Shooting Range crew for teaching us a very valuable life lesson and survival skills – which may come in handy in the future. Another thing I can’t believe it is at my very own backyard! (Here at E.Rodriguez, QC).
If you are coming from Cubao, ride a jeep heading to Luke’s/Quiapo as you exit Cubao’s intersection/ as you enter e.rod QC , you’ll be there quick so be vigilant, The La Defense building is across Metrobank. There is also a nearby Chinabank.
Coming from rod QC, take a jeep to CUBAO, it will pass by Hemady and Tomas Morato – as you are approaching to Cubao, You’ll spot La Defense Bldg. at your right side – across Metrobank.
Stronghand shooting range started at 2010, and they are the first in Asia that is TOXIC FREE. They use registered pistols and revolvers (HS – Stronghand exclusive distributor). Bullets come in 9, 40 and 45 mm and produced here in the Philippines – Bullets can be recycled till 10x. The ambiance of the place is calming but once you hear bullets being fired, it becomes that INTENSE because you can definitely hear it from beyond the glass. You’ll be given earmuffs and protective eyewear before entering the area. You’ll be also provided a locker too.
There are range officers (“RO”) that will assist you, nothing to worry. They are trained and know what to do. They will be giving instructions and tips too. There are two courses to choose from. One is like an obstacle course kind of, something like in the action movies and the regular shooting range. There are air conditioning units and filters.
The price range is not typically student-friendly. It may cost you but the experience is worth it. For the basic it would cost you P1000 = P500 for the rent fee and another P500 for the firearm with 20 bullets. Then other add ons if you want too which is another additional cost (Check out the flyer). Every Wednesday they have ladies night and they do offer discounts time to time just be updated on their social media pages.
They don’t only offer a shooting range. They have a function room good for 150 pax, limited number of chairs and tables, sound system provided too. They have a cafe named “KISS KISS BANG BANG”.
Here are just some reminders:
No ID, No SHOOT.
Must be atleast 18 years of age – guests 16 to 17 of age must be accompanied by parents
How you handle a gun, is to be taken seriously. Note, Always put the gun face down whether its loaded or not, its still a firearm.
Here are some tips I would like to share:
Safety first.
Survey the area and check your sides. Check the gun, make sure before shooting the gun is loaded. And slide the upper part (barrel) before shooting once your gun is loaded.
I was having a hard time manually placing the bullets in the magazine (detachable), Don’t worry there is a machine that made my life way easier.
How you hold the gun.
You hold the gun first with your dominant hand – grasp your palm at the grip of the gun, have you index finger rested on the dominant side and the thumb goes to the other side.
For the other hand, supports the remaining open grip, thumb rests beside the dominant hand’s thumb. You insert the Index finger of the Dominant hand when you are ready to fire.
3.Position
Stand still – either you find balance by either putting your dominant foot before or a wide base gait. Whatever makes you comfortable. And your hands should be straight not flex. And LEAN Forward.
4.Aiming
The gun has a FRONT and REAR. There are white points you have to make the points align with each other and aim STRAIGHT (40 degrees).
Tip: I close my left eyelid and use my right eye then aim at the target point.
FIRING
Insert the dominant hand’s index finger at trigger, when you fire your gun, you half press FIRST and press. Tip: Do inhale and exhale
