California E-bike is joining the Manila International Auto Show this April 9 to 12, 2015 at World Trade Center, you may visit them at Booth B71 to 72. On exhibit are their top e-bike models and allowing visitors to try these variants.

On hand in the exhibit is one of their latest offering- Malibu, this is their version of the Segway. Malibu boasts of a Lean steer frame (LSF) height adjuster, if you are familiar with Segway you know how hard it is to grip the height adjustment knob on the LSF. Simply slip this tool over the knob and give it 1/4 to 1/2 turn beyond finger tight and your LSF will be much harder to move while gliding or pulling it up stairs.

Malibu- Known to others as “segway”. My friend and I enjoyed the Malibu, It is easy to navigate, still get a lot of getting to use too, but there is that element of fun. It is chargeable and It is worth P68, 000. Malibu also features a smart balancing system that makes it user-friendly even for beginners.

Another featured variant is Berkely Smart Balance Wheel, with an Anti-slip rubber pedal and a 360 degree turning capacity. This variant is also equipped with a smart balancing system.

Sierra is their newest offering in the e-bike line, it has a maximum speed of 25 kmph with a riding distance of 40km on full charge. Anybody within 100kg can be accommodated in this e-bike.

Into the Woods Musical

At the press launch of “Into the woods musical”, The actors have already exhibited their powerful vocal ranges in preparation of their upcoming stage performance to be held at BGC garden.

People might have thought that they’ve decided to produce the musical because of the popular demand of the International movie (Into the woods 2014) , but actually way before they’ve planned it before the movie was planned to be made. They’ve said that the movie actually helped them in promoting.

Renowned singer, Rachel Alejandro will be playing the witch, counterpart of Meryll Strip in the movie. To be narrated by Noel Trinidad, you might see him in one of your favorite primetime local shows. Then creatively directed by Joel Trinidad. The rest of the cast, some of them may be familiar faces, if you do attend local musicals, they are very talented, powerful vocals and suited for their roles.

As I remembered, My friends and I watched the movie (Into the Woods 2014) at Vox cinemas. I didn’t expect it to be all throughout a musical. I actually had no idea about the gist, I’ve seen the trailer, I thought it was a thriller movie “Haha”. But then if you watched the movie, The Beginning was all good and light but then the latter was dark and heavy. The movie makes you realize the reality of life. (You have to see the movie yourself to point out what I meant)

If I could compare it to the movie, ofcourse I am amazed with the performance of the live actors because the diction and intonation of words were very clear. Along with singing, everything was flawless also with the choreography. You can’t believe how good the actors are and the production team is very resourceful because ideally the plot has different dimensions and they were able to bring it to live, it may not be as grand like the special effects on the movie but still they were able to pull it off. They were able to bring out the emotion needed by each character and compare to the movie, it was “hella funnier”, I could remember how hard I laughed. Maybe because the charisma of how pinoys show humor in facial expressions and how they could carry it, even though it is in English.

People have asked me if it is entirely similar to the movie? Well partly yes, but they’ve added a special character in the play. (That you have to watch). The main characters are still there, The Baker and his wife, Jack, Red Ridding hood – never failed to be herself, cute and annoying (in a good way, like in the movie) , and the witch. The rest of the supporting characters were in complete attendance.

Me and my friends really enjoyed the 2 hour play and you’ll be really be impressed with how much talent Filipinos are in performing musicals. Ticket sales are like hotcakes when I asked day after the preview. The ticket pricing are not bad, its a “live performance” and it is worth it.

What makes them different, is that they offer “ hair blow-dry” services, Filipinos aren’t that much aware of the concept of blow dry salons, Only because we grew up with the idea of beauty salons that provided everything. I grew up in a country (in the middle east) were women goes to salons, most of the time just to blow dry their hair to be done. One stop place to be “beautified” (don’t know if such term exist). Poshtips, wants to introduce this concept to the Filipino market.

Poshtips, is a comfy place to chill and get pampered after a long stressful weekend. The ambiance is relaxing and the interior is “Victorian inspired” and you’ll love their couches. The staff are very accommodating and fun to chat with.

“Asia’s Got Talent” Premiere Tops Philippine Ratings

Manila, Philippines –AXN’s highly anticipated “Asia’s Got Talent” premiere collectively topped ratings among English Pay TV channels in Southeast Asia.

During the show’s two hour debut on Thursday, March 12 at 8:05pm,AXN delivered more than 10 times the ratings of the next English general entertainment
channel across Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines^{^[1]}.

“Asia’s Got Talent” was the
top AXN program year to date in the country. During its telecast, AXN ranked #1
with more than 80 per cent share amongst all English general entertainment
channels, and ranked #2 amongst all Pay TV channels.

In Singapore, “Asia’s Got Talent” led the ratings chart in its
timeslot for English Pay TV channels and AXN was also the top English channel
for the night on StarHub.

In Malaysia, “Asia’s Got Talent” was the #1 rated show in its
timeslot across all English channels on Astro. AXN dominated the timeslot with
over 80 per cent share across all English general entertainment channels.
